First 4 Seasons of The Office are coming to Blu-ray in June

The first four seasons of the popular United States TV series “The Office” will be finally getting released on Blu-ray Disc, as individual seasons, on June 15th via Universal Studios Home Entertainment MOD. These will be manufacture on demand (MOD) titles, which mainly means that you’ll have to order them from online retailers. They had previously only been available via “The Complete Series” Blu-ray set released last year.

The show, a U.S. adaptation by Greg Daniels of the popular U.K. series (of the same title), first aired on NBC in 2005. The U.S. version, in its first four seasons, starred Steve CarellJenna FischerJohn Krasinski, Rainn Wilson, Leslie David Baker, Brian Baumgartner, Kate Flannery, Angela Kinsey, Paul Lieberstein, Oscar Nuñez, Phyllis Smith, Mindy Kaling, BJ Novak, and Melora Hardin.

The tech specs include 1080p HD video in the original 1.78:1 aspect ratio and DTS-HD Master Audio for each season, with 2.0 stereo for the first season, and 5.1 surround sound for seasons 2 through 4. The Office: The Complete Series on Blu-ray November

Well, it’s about damn time! That’s what she said. But seriously, “The Office: The Complete Series” is finally getting a Blu-ray Disc box set of all nine seasons for the first time on November 10th via Universal, according to retailers. The tech specs and bonus materials for the box set have not yet been detailed, but they should contain 1080p HD video in the 1.78:1 aspect ratio and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 sound, as found on previous seasons that appeared on the format. There’s no word yet if the release will come with a digital copy of the series, as Season 8 on the format did. All we know really for certain so far is that release date, that it’ll contain all of the seasons, including some very nice artwork (pictured above), and that the set on Blu-ray is now available for preorder over at Amazon.

The now cult-classic TV show ran for a total of 9 seasons, for 188 episodes, from 2005 through 2013 on the NBC network. The show, a remake of sorts of the British TV series of the same title, was adapted by Greg Daniels. Adam McKay film “Vice” starring Christian Bale comes to Blu-ray in April

The 2018 Adam McKay film Vice starring Christian Bale is coming to Blu-ray Disc on April 2nd via Fox. The film, nominated for 8 Oscars, co-stars Amy AdamsSteve Carell, Sam Rockwell, Alison Pill, Eddie Marsan, Justin Kirk, LisaGay Hamilton, and Jesse Plemons. Tech specs for the Blu-ray release include 1080p video in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio – mislabeled in the press release. The release will come in the form of a “combo pack” with a DVD and digital copy of the film included. The Blu-ray is now available for pre-order over at Amazon. Bonus materials set to be included on the release are listed below.

Zemeckis film “Welcome to Marwen” with Steve Carell on Blu-ray in March

The 2018 Robert Zemeckis directed film Welcome to Marwen starring Steve Carell is coming to Blu-ray Disc on March 19th via Universal, according to an early alert to retailers. The film, based on a true story, co-stars Falk Hentschel, Matt O’Leary, Nikolai Witschl, Patrick Roccas, Alexander Lowe, Eiza González, Leslie Zemeckis, Merritt Wever, Gwendoline Christie, Stefanie von Pfetten, Janelle Monáe, and Leslie Mann.

Tech specs and bonus materials for the release have not yet been detailed. However, it is known that the release will come in the form of a “combo pack” with a DVD and Digital Copy of the film. The Blu-ray is available for pre-order over at Amazon and at Best Buy.

EDITOR NOTE: Best Buy originally had listed a 4K release, even going as far to include artwork, but that has since been removed – before I even reported this. That being said, apparently, the film is not planned for a 4K release (anymore).
