A History of Violence on Criterion 4K in October

The 2005 film “A History of Violence” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray on October 21st via The Criterion Collection. David Cronenberg directed the movie. It starred Viggo Mortensen, Maria Bello, Ed Harris, William Hurt, Ashton Holmes, Peter MacNeill, and Stephen McHattie.

This has received a 4K digital restoration of the international cut, supervised by director of photography Peter Suschitzky and approved by director David Cronenberg. The tech specs for the 4K include a 2160p video in a 1.85:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and HDR10 form of high dynamic range. It will feature lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround sound. Tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in a 1.85:1 aspect ratio with DTS-HD MA 5.1 surround sound. The 4K release will come as a 2-disc “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart included.

2020 film Most Wanted on Blu-ray in September

The 2020 film “Most Wanted“ — inspired by a true story — is officially coming to Blu-ray Disc on September 22nd via Paramount. The film, directed by Daniel Roby, stars Antoine Olivier Pilon, Jim Gaffigan, and Josh Hartnett. The release will come with a digital code (copy) of the film. Tech specs for the release include a 1080p HD video presentation with DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 sound. No bonus materials are set to be included on this Blu-ray release. You can now find the Blu-ray available for preorder over at Amazon.

Elijah Wood in “Come to Daddy” on Blu-ray March

The 2020 film “Come to Daddy” starring Elijah Wood is officially coming to Blu-ray Disc on March 24th via Lionsgate. The film, directed by Ant Timpson, co-stars Stephen McHattie, Martin Donovan, Michael Smiley, Madeleine Sami, Simon Chin, and Garfield Wilson. Tech specs for the Blu-ray include 1080p HD video in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 sound. The release will include a digital code (copy) of the film.
