Loki Second Season gets a 4K SteelBook in December

The Disney+ original series from Marvel Studios Loki: The Complete Second Season will be available on 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook on December 3rd via Marvel Studios (Disney). The show stars Tom Hiddleston, Owen Wilson, Sophia Di Martino, Wunmi Mosaku, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Eugene Cordero, Neil Ellice, Tara Strong, and Ke Huy Quan.

The tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.20:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and HDR10 forms of high dynamic range and Dolby Atmos sound, spanning across a 2-disc set (each on a BD-100 disc).

UPDATED: The 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook is now available for preorder at Amazon and retailer Walmart. This will be a collector’s edition set physically featuring 3 exclusive concept art cards. The bonus materials set to be included with the release are listed below.

  • Loki Through Time — Travel through over a decade of Loki’s timeline with Tom Hiddleston, Kevin Feige and more as they dive deeper into the villainous yet lovable character that fans can’t get enough of in the Loki series.

  • Deleted/Extended Scenes
    • What Would You Like? — Distraught after the events of season 1, Sylvie leaves the Citidel at the End of Time and finds an escape in a McDonalds in 1982.
    • Key Lime Break — Loki and Mobius share a moment savoring a key lime pie in the TVA lunchroom.
    • Roll Call — Loki names off all the people who have spoken ill of him in the past, including a few recognizable names. Mobius tries to comfort him.
  • Assembled: The Making of Loki Season 2 — Join the cast and crew of Loki Season 2 as they pull back the curtain on Loki’s Iatest MCU adventure.

2019 film Yesterday on 4K and Blu-ray September

The 2019 Danny Boyle directed film “Yesterday” is coming to both 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on September 24th via Universal, according to retailers. The film, which uses music from The Beatles, stars Himesh PatelLily JamesSophia Di Martino, Ellise Chappell, and Joel Fry. Tech specs and bonus materials have not yet been detailed for either the 4K or Blu-ray releases yet, but stay tuned for an update. It is known (from art) that both releases will come in the form of “combo pack” with the 4K receiving a Blu-ray, the Blu-ray getting a DVD, and both including a digital copy (code) of the film.
