Prisoners of the Ghostland 4K and Blu-ray November

The 2021 film “Prisoners of the Ghostland” starring Nicolas Cage is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray in SteelBook form (as pictured above) and Blu-ray Disc on November 16th, via RLJE Films. The film, directed by Sion Sono, co-stars Sofia Boutella, Nick Cassavetes, Bill Moseley, Tak Sakaguchi, and Yuzuka Nakaya.

The tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.35:1 aspect ratio and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 lossless surround sound. It would appear that no form of HDR (high dynamic range) will be included with the 4K release, but I have asked if that is the case, so stay tuned for an update [or perhaps confirmation]. The tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 2.35:1 aspect ratio with DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 sound. The 4K release will come in the form of a “combo pack” meaning that it will include the Blu-ray Disc counterpart.

Drew Pearce film “Hotel Artemis” comes to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray in October

The 2018 Drew Pearce written and directed film “Hotel Artemis” is coming to both 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on October 9th via Global Road Entertainment (likely to be distributed by Universal). This news comes via multiple early alerts to  retailers. The film, currently still in theaters, includes a pretty stellar cast such as Jodie Foster, Jeff GoldblumSofia Boutella, Sterling K. BrownBrian Tyree HenryJenny Slate, Zachary QuintoCharlie Day, and Dave Bautista – to just name a few. Tech specs for the releases have not yet been fully detailed, nor have the bonus materials (if any) set to be included, but stay tuned for an update. Both releases come in the form of a “combo pack” with 4K release getting a Blu-ray, and the Blu-ray release getting a DVD, of the film also included.
