Anime The First Slam Dunk comes to 4K in February

The 2022 Anime film “The First Slam Dunk“ will soon be available on 4K UHD Blu-ray. It will be released on February 18th via GKIDS and Shout! Studios. The Japanese animated film was written & directed by Takehiko Inoue. It’s certainly worth noting that this film is “Certified Fresh” (by critics) on Rotten Tomatoes.

The tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p video presentation in the 1.78:1 aspect ratio with SDR (standard dynamic range) and Dolby Atmos in both Japanese and English languages. John Carpenter’s 1998 film Vampires on 4K in January

The 1998 film “Vampires” directed by John Carpenter, will be released on 4K UHD Blu-ray on January 21 via Scream Factory. The film starred James Woods, Daniel Baldwin, Sheryl Lee, Thomas Ian Griffith, and Maximilian Schell.

The movie has received a 4K restoration from the original camera negative. The tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.35:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and HDR10 forms of high dynamic range and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround and DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 stereo sound. “Wallace & Gromit: The Complete Cracking Collection” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray / Blu-ray Disc as a set on December 10th via Shout! Studios. The 3-disc set will include four Aardman Animations early stop-motion animated short films (all directed by Nick Park) in 4K, an extra feature-length film (in HD), a nice share of physical extras, and supplemental materials.
