The 1995 film “Outbreak“ will be coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on March 31st via Shout Select (Shout! Studios).
Wolfgang Petersen directed the motion picture. The movie starred Dustin Hoffman, Rene Russo, Morgan Freeman, Cuba Gooding Jr., Kevin Spacey, Patrick Dempsey, and Donald Sutherland.
This has received a 4K transfer from the 35mm original camera negative. The tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray include a 2160p video presentation in a 1.85:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision (HDR10 compatible) and lossless surround sound. The 2-disc set will come as a “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart included.
The 4K UHD Blu-ray is now available for preorder at Amazon and GRUV. The bonus materials for the release have yet to be detailed, but stay tuned for an update on that.

The Place Beyond The Pines on 4K in October

The 2012 film “The Place Beyond the Pines“ is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on October 21st via Shout Select (Shout! Studios). Derek Cianfrance directed and co-wrote the flick. It starred Ryan Gosling, Bradley Cooper, Eva Mendes, and Ray Liotta. It’s worth noting that this movie remains “Certified Fresh” on Rotten Tomatoes, based on critics’ reviews.
The motion picture has received a new 4K restoration approved by Director/Co-Writer Derek Cianfrance. The tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray include a 2160p video presentation in a 2.35:1 aspect ratio in SDR [without HDR], accompanied by lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround and 2.0 stereo sound. The 2-disc set will come as a “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart included.

The 2006 film “World Trade Center“ is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on August 12th via Shout Select (Shout! Studios). Oliver Stone directed the film. It starred Nicolas Cage, Michael Pena, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Maria Bello, Jon Bernthal, Frank Whaley, and Stephen Dorff.
This features a new 4K restoration supervised by Oliver Stone. The tech specs for the 4K include a 2160p video presentation in a 1.85:1 with Dolby Vision and HDR10. It will also feature Dolby Atmos as well as lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 and 2.0 Stereo sound. The release will come as a “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc included.

The 1994 film Ace Ventura: Pet Detective comes July 29th to 4K UHD Blu-ray and 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook. These releases will be part of Shout! Studios‘ Shout Select line. Tom Shadyac directed the movie, which starred Jim Carrey. It also starred Courteney Cox, Sean Young, Tone Loc, Dan Marino, and Noble Willingham.
The movie has received a new 4K transfer from the 35mm original camera negative. The technical specifications include a 2160p 4K video presentation in a 1.85:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision or HDR10 form of high dynamic range. It will also include lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround and 2.0 Stereo sound. The 2005 film “Strangers with Candy: The Movie” comes to Blu-ray Disc on July 22nd via Shout Select (Shout! Studios). Paul Dinello directed and co-wrote the movie. It starred Amy Sedaris, Stephen Colbert, Paul Dinello, Deborah Rush, Ian Holm, Joseph Cross, and Carlo Alban. The cast even included Sarah Jessica Parker, Matthew Broderick, Chris Pratt, and the late great Philip Seymour Hoffman. The movie, based on the 1999 TV series “Strangers with Candy,” is celebrating its 20th anniversary. This will be spine number #196 in the Shout Select series.
