Deadpool & Wolverine on 4K and Blu-ray in October

The 2024 film “Deadpool & Wolverine” is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray, 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook, and Blu-ray Disc on October 22nd via 20th Century Studios (Disney). The film, directed by Shawn Levy, stars Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, Emma Corrin, Matthew Macfadyen, Dafne Keen, Jon Favreau, Morena Baccarin, Rob Delaney, Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni, Jennifer Garner, Wesley Snipes, Channing Tatum, and Chris Evans. It’s worth noting that this film is “Certified Fresh” on Rotten Tomatoes.

The tech specs for the 4K include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and HDR10 forms of high dynamic range and Dolby Atmos sound, on a BD-66 disc. Tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 lossless surround sound, on a BD-50 disc. The 4K releases will come as a “combo pack” with the Blu-ray Disc counterpart included. Both the 4K and Blu-ray releases will feature a digital copy.

UPDATE: You can now find the 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray available for preorder at Amazon. You also can preorder the 4K UHD Blu-ray at Walmart. Retailer Walmart will also get an exclusive Blu-ray Disc release featuring pop-up artwork (pictured below). It’s now available for preorder.

Here is a glimpse at the two different 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook releases that will be available. One featuring “Deadpool” on the cover and back and one featuring “Wolverine” on the cover and back. UPDATE: Those two 4K UHD Blu-ray Steelbooks are now available for preorder at Amazon. You can find their links below via the artwork.

The 2021 film “Free Guy” is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on October 12th via 20th Century Studios (Disney). The film, directed by Shawn Levy, stars Ryan Reynolds, Jodie Comer, Lil Rel Howery, Joe Keery, and Taika Waititi.

The tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 form of high dynamic range and Dolby Atmos sound. The tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio and DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 lossless surround sound. The 4K release will come in the form of a “combo pack” meaning that it will include its Blu-ray Disc counterpart and a digital code (copy) of the film. The Blu-ray will also include a digital code.

UPDATE: You can now find the 4K UHD Blu-ray and the Blu-ray available for preorder over at Amazon. Also, there will be a 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook available of the film over at retailer Best Buy as an exclusive (pictured below). That also is now available for preorder.
