Outlander Season Seven comes to Blu-ray in May

The TV series “Outlander: The Complete Seventh Season” is coming to Blu-ray Disc. It will also be released in a “Collector’s Edition” Blu-ray on May 27th via Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. The show’s cast includes Caitríona Balfe, Sam Heughan, Sophie Skelton, Richard Rankin, and John Bell.

The tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 1.78:1 aspect ratio with DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround sound, spanning across a 6-disc set. The approximate runtime for this season is 934 minutes.

The Blu-ray and “Collector’s Edition” Blu-ray are available for preorder at Amazon. The Collector’s Edition Blu-ray will include physical extras. Those extras include a 24-page booklet and 8 collector’s cards (pictured below).

Vin Diesel as “Bloodshot” on 4K and Blu-ray

The 2020 film “Bloodshot” starring Vin Diesel is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on May 5th, according to multiple retailer listings, via Sony. The film, based on the comic book of the same title & directed by Dave Wilson, co-stars Eiza González, Sam Heughan, Toby Kebbell, Talulah Riley, Lamorne Morris, and Guy Pearce. As this hasn’t been officially announced yet, there’s no word yet on the tech specs or bonus materials but stay tuned for an update. The 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray will both come in the form of a “combo pack” with the 4K getting its Blu-ray counterpart, the Blu-ray getting a DVD, and each including a digital code (copy) of the film. You can now find both the 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray listed for preorder over at Amazon, as well as over at retailers Best Buy and Target – where the release date is listed. It’s most certainly worth noting that retailer Best Buy will be getting a 4K UHD Blu-ray exclusive SteelBook release of the film (pictured below) which is also now available for preorder.

“The Spy Who Dumped Me” arrives on 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray in late October

The 2018 action comedy “The Spy Who Dumped Me” starring Mila Kunis and Kate McKinnon is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on October 30th via Lionsgate. The film, directed by Susanna Fogel, co-stars Justin Theroux, Hasan Minhaj, and Sam Heughan.

Tech specs for the 4K release include 2160p video in the 2.40:1 aspect ratio with both Dolby Vision and HDR10 forms of high dynamic range and Dolby Atmos sound. Tech specs for the Blu-ray release will include 1080p video in the 2.40:1 aspect ratio and Dolby Atmos sound. Both releases will come in the form of a “combo pack” – with the 4K getting a Blu-ray included, and the Blu-ray getting a DVD included. A digital copy of the film will be included on each release. You can PRE-ORDER either the 4K UHD Blu-ray or the Blu-ray Disc version already over at Amazon. Bonus materials set to be included on both versions are listed below.
