The Lighthouse comes to Blu-ray in January

The 2019 film “The Lighthouse” starring Willem Dafoe and Robert Pattinson is officially coming to Blu-ray Disc on January 7th, 2020 via Lionsgate. The film, directed by  Robert Eggers, has received much critical acclaim during its theatrical run. In fact, at the time of writing, the film is “Certified Fresh” over at Rotten Tomatoes. Tech specs for the Blu-ray include 1080p HD video in the 1.19:1 aspect ratio with DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 sound. As of now, there’s no preorder listing up for the Blu-ray yet over at Amazon. It is listed over at the retailer Best Buy as coming soon. Stay tuned for an update when it becomes listed on Amazon. The release will come with a digital code (copy) of the film. 2015 Robert Eggers horror film “The Witch” comes to 4K UHD Blu-ray in April


The 2015 horror film The Witch (a.k.a. “The VVitch”) written and directed by Robert Eggers is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on April 23rd, via Lionsgate. The film received much critical acclaim back in 2016, and it, in fact, remains “Certified Fresh” over at Rotten Tomatoes. This featured a cast of Anya Taylor-JoyRalph InesonKate Dickie, Harvey Scrimshaw, Julian Richings, Sarah Stephens, and Bathsheba Garnett.

Tech specs for the 4K release include 2160p video in the 1.66:1 aspect ratio with both Dolby Vision and HDR10 forms of high dynamic range with DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound. The release will come in the form of a “combo pack” with a Blu-ray and a digital copy of the film included.
