Shaun of the Dead 20th Anniversary 4K in December

The 2004 film “Shaun of the Dead” will get a 20th Anniversary 4K UHD Blu-ray and 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook on December 3rd via Universal Studios Home Entertainment. The film, directed & co-written by Edgar Wright, starred Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Kate Ashfield, Lucy Davis, Dylan Moran, Peter Serafinowicz, Penelope Wilton, and Bill Nighy.

The movie has been remastered and now includes Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision. Here’s some information.

“Universal Pictures Home Entertainment, Focus Features and Studiocanal have partnered with director Edgar Wright to remaster the movie in 4K Ultra HD with Dolby Vision and immersive Dolby Atmos sound.”

The tech specs for the 4K releases include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and HDR10 forms of high dynamic range and Dolby Atmos sound, on a BD-100 disc. The new 4K releases will come as a “combo pack” with the 4K and 4K SteelBook each including their Blu-ray counterpart and a digital copy. 2019 film Downton Abbey comes to 4K in March

The 2019 film “Downton Abbey: The Motion Picture” is finally coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray in both a standard and limited edition 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook release on March 8th via Universal Studios Home Entertainment.  The film, based on the television series [of the same title] created by Julian Fellowes, was directed by Michael Engler and features a cast of Hugh Bonneville, Elizabeth McGovern, Jim Carter, Stephen Campbell Moore, Michael Fox, Lesley Nicol, Sophie McShera, Imelda Staunton, Penelope Wilton, and Maggie Smith.

The 2019 motion picture of Downton Abbey is coming to Blu-ray Disc on December 17th, according to retail sources, via Universal. The film, a continuation of the TV series (of the same title), was directed by Michael Engler. The cast includes Hugh BonnevilleMatthew GoodeTuppence Middleton, Elizabeth McGovern, Imelda StauntonMichelle Dockery, Allen Leech, Kate Phillips, Penelope Wilton, and Maggie Smith. Tech specs for the Blu-ray include 1080p HD video in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with DTS-HD 7.1 Master Audio sound. There will be two different Blu-ray releases available of the film but both will come in the form of a “combo pack” with a DVD counterpart and a digital code (copy) of the film included. The Blu-ray release of the film will come in a standard form (pictured above) as well as in a Deluxe Limited Edition Blu-ray set form (pictured below). The Deluxe Limited Edition set is now available for preorder over at Amazon and Best Buy. The limited edition box set includes physical extras in the forms of a collectible photo book and recipe cards.
