Parks and Recreation Complete Series on Blu-ray in June

The popular TV series “Parks and Recreation: The Complete Series” is officially coming to Blu-ray as a set including all 7 seasons on June 15th, via Universal MOD. This release will be a MOD (manufacture on demand) title, meaning that you’ll have to purchase it from online retailers. The set’s tech specs include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 1.78:1 aspect ratio and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 lossless surround sound, spanning across 20 BD-50 (50 gigabytes) discs for all 125 episodes. The show, created by Greg DanielsMichael Schur, starred Amy PoehlerJim O’HeirNick Offerman, Aubrey Plaza, Aziz Ansari, Rashida Jones, Retta, Adam Scott, Rob Lowe, and Chris Pratt. First 4 Seasons of The Office are coming to Blu-ray in June

The first four seasons of the popular United States TV series “The Office” will be finally getting released on Blu-ray Disc, as individual seasons, on June 15th via Universal Studios Home Entertainment MOD. These will be manufacture on demand (MOD) titles, which mainly means that you’ll have to order them from online retailers. They had previously only been available via “The Complete Series” Blu-ray set released last year.

The show, a U.S. adaptation by Greg Daniels of the popular U.K. series (of the same title), first aired on NBC in 2005. The U.S. version, in its first four seasons, starred Steve CarellJenna FischerJohn Krasinski, Rainn Wilson, Leslie David Baker, Brian Baumgartner, Kate Flannery, Angela Kinsey, Paul Lieberstein, Oscar Nuñez, Phyllis Smith, Mindy Kaling, BJ Novak, and Melora Hardin.

The tech specs include 1080p HD video in the original 1.78:1 aspect ratio and DTS-HD Master Audio for each season, with 2.0 stereo for the first season, and 5.1 surround sound for seasons 2 through 4. The Swan Princess 25th Anniversary Blu-ray

The 1994 animated film The Swan Princess will be coming to Blu-ray Disc in a “25th Anniversary Edition” on October 29th via Sony MOD. The film, directed by Richard Rich, featured the voice talents of Michelle Nicastro, Howard McGillinJack Palance, John Cleese, Steven Wright, and Sandy Duncan. Tech specs for the release include 1080p HD video in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio with restored DTS-HD Master Audio sound (presumably in a 5.1 configuration). This release will only be available online because it is a Sony MOD (manufacture-on-demand) Blu-ray release. That said, you can now find the Blu-ray available for pre-order at Amazon. The bonus materials set to be included on the release are listed below.

  • An all-new featurette entitled “A Look Back, Tease Ahead,”
  • Plus a variety of additional archival features

UPDATE: This Sony MOD title is going to be available online via Best Buy. It’s now up and listed for pre-order over at the retailer. Keep in mind though, as I said, it will ONLY be available online.
