The 2021 film “Nobody” gets a limited-edition 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook on July 29th via Universal Studios Home Entertainment. Ilya Naishuller directed the film. It starred Bob Odenkirk, Connie Nielsen, Michael Ironside, RZA, and Christopher Lloyd.
EDITORIAL NOTE: This movie was released on the format back in 2021 in a standard 4K UHD Blu-ray. However, this is the first time that it has received a 4K SteelBook in North America.
The tech specs for the 4K include a 2160p video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision or HDR10 form of HDR and Dolby Atmos sound, on a BD-66 disc. This 2-disc release does come as a “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart included.
The 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook (pictured below) is now available for preorder at Amazon and online retailer GRUV. It’s not yet listed on Amazon or Walmart, but stay tuned for an update.

The 1997 sci-fi film “Starship Troopers“ will be getting a 25th Anniversary Edition4K UHD Blu-raySteelBook release on November 1st via Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. The film, directed by Paul Verhoeven, starred Casper Van Dien, Dina Meyer, Denise Richards, Jake Busey, Neil Patrick Harris, Clancy Brown, Patrick Muldoon, and Michael Ironside.
The tech specs for the release include a 2160p video presentation in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 form of high dynamic range and Dolby Atmos sound, just as found on the previous 2017 4K physical release. It also includes DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 lossless surround sound. The release will come in the form of a “combo pack” with its Blu-ray counterpart included as well as a digital code (copy) of the film. And the tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio and Dolby Atmos sound, on a BD-50 (50 gigabytes) disc. Both the 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray will come in the form of a “combo pack” meaning that the 4K will include its Blu-ray Disc counterpart, the Blu-ray will include its DVD counterpart, and each will come with a digital code (copy) of the film compatible with Movies Anywhere. EDITORIAL NOTE: Lastly, I have to say that I personally am already a big fan of this flick. I was able to watch it three times over the past weekend via a digital rental. This movie comes as highly recommended.

The 1990 film adaptation of “Total Recall“ starring Arnold Schwarzenegger is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on December 8th via Lionsgate, distributing for Studiocanal. The film, celebrating its 30th anniversary, has received a new 4K restoration, as you can find detailed below.
“Restored in 4K from a scan of the original 35mm negative” […] “Undertaken by STUDIOCANAL, the restoration was supervised by Paul Verhoeven himself. The restoration crew paid particularly high attention to preserving special-effects continuity, as Total Recall was one of the earliest films to use computer-generated images for special effects winning the Special Achievement Award for Visual Effects at the 1990 Academy Awards®.”
The film, directed by Paul Verhoeven & based on Philip K. Dick’s short story, co-starred Sharon Stone, Rachel Ticotin, and Michael Ironside.
