1978 comedy Foul Play finally on Blu-ray in February

The 1978 comedy “Foul Play“ starring Goldie Hawn and Chevy Chase is coming to Blu-ray Disc on February 8th, 2022 via Paramount Home Entertainment. The film, written & directed by Colin Higgins, co-starred Burgess Meredith, Dudley Moore, Marilyn Sokol, William Frankfather, Rachel Roberts, Billy Barty, and the late Brian Dennehy.

The tech specs for the Blu-ray and bonus materials have not yet been detailed, but stay tuned possibly for an update on that soon. You can now find the Blu-ray available for preorder over at Amazon. This will be the first time that the film has been available in the Blu-ray Disc format.

Jim Henson’s “Emmet Otter’s Jug-Band Christmas” on Blu-ray in December

The 1977 TV movie “Emmet Otter’s Jug-Band Christmas“ directed by Jim Henson is coming to Blu-ray Disc on December 18th via Sony. Speaking of The Muppets, there’s a special appearance by “Kermit the Frog” in this film. This movie (as a TV special) first originally aired on HBO back in December of 1977. The movie featured music by Paul Williams and the voice talents and Muppet performances by Jerry Nelson, Frank Oz, Marilyn Sokol, Dave Goelz, Richard Hunt, and Eren Ozker – as well as Jim Henson. Tech specs for the release have not yet been detailed, nor have the bonus materials, but you can likely expect the DVD extras ported over.
