1973 film Paper Moon on Criterion 4K and Blu-ray

The 1973 film “Paper Moon” is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on November 26th via The Criterion Collection. The film, directed by Peter Bogdanovich, starred Ryan O’Neal, Tatum O’Neal, Madeline Kahn, John Hillerman, P.J. Johnson, and Jessie Lee Fulton.

The movie has received a new 4K digital restoration. The tech specs for the release include a 2160p Black & White video presentation in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and HDR10 forms of high dynamic range and LPCM Uncompressed Mono sound. The 4K release will come as a “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart included. You can find the 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray available for preorder at Amazon or any other retailers but stay tuned for an update. The 1974 comedy Blazing Saddles is coming to 4K

The 1974 comedy “Blazing Saddles” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook via Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment on November 19th, according to retailers. The film, directed & co-written by Mel Brooks, starred Cleavon Little, Gene Wilder, Slim Pickens, Harvey Korman, and Madeline Kahn.

The tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 form of high dynamic range and Dolby Atmos sound. The release will come with a digital copy. You can now find the 4K UHD Blu-ray and the 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook (pictured below) available for preorder at Amazon. Pixar’s “A Bug’s Life” on 4K UHD Blu-ray March

The 1998 Pixar computer-animated film A Bug’s Life is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on March 3rd, via Disney, according to an alert to retailers. The film, co-directed by John LasseterAndrew Stanton, featured the voice talents of Dave Foley, Kevin Spacey, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Hayden Panettiere, Phyllis Diller, Richard Kind, David Hyde Pierce, Denis Leary, Madeline Kahn, and Bonnie Hunt. Tech specs for the 4K and bonus materials for the release have not yet been detailed but stay tuned for a possible update. It’s very likely the release will come with the HDR10 form of High Dynamic Range and Dolby Atmos sound – but that’s just speculation based on previous releases. The release will come in the form of a “combo pack” with the Blu-ray Disc counterpart included as well as a digital code (copy) of the film. Lastly, it’s worth certainly mentioning that retailer Best Buy will be getting an exclusive 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook release of the film (pictured below), which is now available for preorder.
