The 1981 Lucio Fulci directed horror film “The House by the Cemetery” is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on August 25th, via Blue Underground. Today came with an official press release announcing the details. Tech specs for the 4K will include video in HDR10 and Dolby Vision forms of High Dynamic Range (HDR) with Dolby Atmos and other original Blu-ray sound mixes. Those original Blu-ray sound mixes include English 5.1 and 1.0 Mono DTS-HD Master Audio and the Italian Mono 1.0 in DTS-HD Master Audio. The video presentation comes from a 4K 16-bit scan from the original 35mm 2-perf camera negative. As of now, there’s currently no preorder listing for the 4K UHD Blu-ray yet over at Amazon or any other retailers, but stay tuned for an update.

UPDATE: This 4K UHD Blu-ray is now available for preorder from online retailer Diabolik DVD.

This new release will include both a 4K UHD Blu-ray with the film (and some bonus) as well as a second Blu-ray Disc with extras. The full list of bonus materials set to be included on the release, as by disc, can be found listed below after the break.

Also, you can not yet find either of the titles available for preorder anywhere, that I know of, but stay tuned for an obvious update on that. In the meantime, you can listen to the podcast episode #190 of “Shock Waves” where William Lustig discusses the company starting to do 4K UHD Blu-ray releases in general and unveiled this news.
