The 1988 film “Willow“ is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook on December 10th via Lucasfilm Ltd. (Disney). It was directed by Ron Howard and co-written and executive-produced by George Lucas. The film starred Val Kilmer, Joanne Whalley, Warwick Davis, Billy Barty, and Jean Marsh.
NOTE: This will be using the 2010 restoration of the movie. The tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 lossless surround sound, on a BD-66 disc. The release will come as a “combo pack” with its Blu-ray counterpart and a digital copy included.
UPDATED: The 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook is now available for preorder at Amazon and at retailer Walmart.
