1999 film The General’s Daughter on 4K in March

The 1999 film The General’s Daughter will be released on 4K UHD Blu-ray on March 18th via KL Studio Classics. Simon West directed the film, which starred John Travolta, Madeleine Stowe, James Cromwell, Timothy Hutton, James Woods, Leslie Stefanson, Clarence Williams III, Daniel von Bargen, Mark Boone Junior, John Beasley, Boyd Kestner, and John Frankenheimer.

The movie has received a new master from a 4K scan of the original camera negative. The tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision (or HDR10) form of high dynamic range and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 lossless surround and lossless 2.0 stereo sound, on a BD-100 disc. The release will come as a “combo pack” with the Blu-ray Disc counterpart included.

The 1999 film “The General’s Daughter” starring John Travolta is coming to Blu-ray Disc on June 29th via Paramount, according to retailers. The film, directed by Simon West, co-starred Madeleine Stowe, James Cromwell, Timothy Hutton, Leslie Stefanson, Daniel von Bargen, Clarence Williams III, and James Woods. The tech specs and bonus materials for the release have not yet been detailed. You can find that the Blu-ray is now listed for preorder over at Amazon.
