The 1997 film Breakdown comes to 4K in December

The 1997 film “Breakdown“ will finally get an individual 4K UHD Blu-ray release on December 30th via Paramount Home Media Distribution. Jonathan Mostow directed and co-wrote the film. The movie starred Kurt Russell, J.T. Walsh, Kathleen Quinlan, M.C. Gainey, Jack Noseworthy, and Rex Linn. NOTE: This movie was earlier released on 4K UHD Blu-ray as an exclusive with a box set [“Paramount Scares: Volume 2“]. This will mark the first time that it has been available as a stand-alone release in North America.
The tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray include a 2160p video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision (HDR10 compatible) and lossless Dolby TrueHD 5.1 surround sound. The release will come as a 2-disc “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart (in HD) included as well as a digital copy.
