The 2025 film The Roses gets a Blu-ray in November

The 2025 dark comedy “The Roses” is slated for a Blu-ray Disc release on November 25th via Searchlight Pictures (Disney). Jay Roach directed the movie, which stars Benedict Cumberbatch and Olivia Colman. It co-stars Andy Samberg, Kate McKinnon, Allison Janney, Sunita Mani, Ncuti Gatwa, Zoë Chao, and Jamie Demetriou. This movie is a reimagining of the 1989 classic film “The War of the Roses,” based on the novel by Warren Adler.

The tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in a 1.85:1 aspect ratio with lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround sound, on a BD-50 disc. The release will include a digital copy, compatible with Movies Anywhere. The Blu-ray is not yet available for preorder at Amazon or Walmart, but stay tuned for an update on that. 2019 film Bombshell comes to Blu-ray in March

The 2019 film “Bombshell“ starring Charlize Theron, Nicole Kidman, and Margot Robbie is officially coming to Blu-ray Disc on March 10th, via Lionsgate. The film, based on a true story & directed by Jay Roach, co-stars John Lithgow, Allison Janney, Malcolm McDowell, Kate McKinnon, Connie Britton, Liv Hewson, Stephen Root, and Mark Duplass. UPDATED: Tech specs for the Blu-ray include video in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with  Dolby Digital 5.1 sound. Yes, you read that correctly. The Blu-ray Disc will come in the form of a “combo pack” with it getting a DVD counterpart and digital code (copy) of the film. You can now find the Blu-ray listed for preorder over at Amazon. “The Spy Who Dumped Me” arrives on 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray in late October

The 2018 action comedy “The Spy Who Dumped Me” starring Mila Kunis and Kate McKinnon is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on October 30th via Lionsgate. The film, directed by Susanna Fogel, co-stars Justin Theroux, Hasan Minhaj, and Sam Heughan.

Tech specs for the 4K release include 2160p video in the 2.40:1 aspect ratio with both Dolby Vision and HDR10 forms of high dynamic range and Dolby Atmos sound. Tech specs for the Blu-ray release will include 1080p video in the 2.40:1 aspect ratio and Dolby Atmos sound. Both releases will come in the form of a “combo pack” – with the 4K getting a Blu-ray included, and the Blu-ray getting a DVD included. A digital copy of the film will be included on each release.
