Lovecraft Country The Complete First Season on Blu-ray

The HBO original TV series “Lovecraft Country: The Complete First Season” is coming to Blu-ray on February 16th via Warner. The show, created by Misha Green, is executive produced by J.J. Abrams and Jordan Peele. The cast for the first season of the show included Jurnee Smollett, Jonathan Majors, Aunjanue Ellis, Wunmi Mosaku, Abbey Lee, Jamie Chung, Jada Harris, Michael K. William, Courtney B. Vance, Jamie Neumann, Jordan Patrick Smith, and Tony Goldwyn. Tech specs for the Blu-ray, spanning across a 3-disc set, includes a 1080p HD video presentation in the 1.78:1 aspect ratio with DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround sound. The Blu-ray can now be found listed for preorder over at Amazon. Bonus materials set to be included on the release are listed below.

Sci-Fi film “Captive State” on Blu-ray in June
The 2019 Sci-Fi/Thriller film “Captive State“ is coming to Blu-ray Disc on June 11th via Universal, according to an early alert to retailers. The movie, directed by Rupert Wyatt, stars John Goodman, Ashton Sanders, Jonathan Majors, and Vera Farmiga. Tech specs for the release on Blu-ray include 1080p HD video in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio and DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound. The title on Blu-ray is available to pre-order now over at Amazon and Best Buy. The release will get a digital copy of the film via Movies Anywhere. Bonus materials set to be included on the release are listed below.

“White Boy Rick” with Matthew McConaughey on Blu-ray this Christmas
The 2018 film “White Boy Rick“ starring Matthew McConaughey and Richie Merritt is officially coming to Blu-ray Disc on December 25th via Sony. The film, based on a true story, was directed by Yann Demange. This co-stars Jennifer Jason Leigh, Brian Tyree Henry, Jonathan Majors, YG, Bruce Dern, Piper Laurie, Rory Cochrane, and RJ Cyler.
Tech specs for the release have not yet been officially announced, but I’m going to speculate on it getting 1080p in the 2.39:1 aspect (as theatrically shown) with a DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound mix – typical on Sony Blu-ray releases. I’ve reached out directed to Sony about this and should have a reply hopefully sometime soon. The Blu-ray is now available to pre-order over at Amazon and at Best Buy. The release will come with a Digital Copy of the film. Bonus materials set to be included on the release are listed below.
