The Da Vinci Code gets a 4K SteelBook release in May

The Da Vinci Code DVD set featuring two discs, with packaging that includes artistic images and a decorative design, showcasing a rose and stills from the film.

Ron Howard directed the film, based on the novel [of the same title] written by Dan Brown. It starred Tom Hanks, Audrey Tautou, Ian McKellen, Alfred Molina, Jürgen Prochnow, Paul Bettany, and Jean Reno.

The tech specs for the 20th Anniversary Edition 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook included a 2160p video presentation in the [intended] 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision (HDR10-compatible) high dynamic range, along with Dolby Atmos and lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround sound.

UPDATED: The 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook is now available for preorder at Amazon.

The release will arrive as a 3-disc set, including a Blu-ray with bonus materials, listed below. Also, the two different versions of the film will be housed on two separate 4K UHD Blu-ray discs, as shown below.

1994 film Leon: The Professional gets a 4K SteelBook

The 1994 Luc Besson film Leon: The Professional is officially getting a 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook release on December 1st, in a limited edition from Sony. The film, written & directed by Luc Besson, featured a cast of Jean RenoGary Oldman, and Natalie Portman. The tech specs for the release include a 2160p 4K presentation in the (OAR) 2.39:1 original aspect ratio with HDR10 form of high dynamic range and Dolby Atmos sound — Dolby TrueHD 7.1 compatible. Both the film’s theatrical and extended versions are included. The release will come in the form of a “combo pack” meaning that it will include its Blu-ray Disc counterpart and a digital code (copy) of the film. You can now find the 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook available for preorder over at Amazon and Target. The bonus materials set to be included on this release, housed on the Blu-ray and identical to the film’s original 4K UHD Blu-ray previously released back in 2017, are listed below.

Animated film “Flushed Away” on Blu-ray in June

The 2006 DreamWorks & Aardman animated film Flushed Away comes to Blu-ray Disc for the first time on June 4th via Universal, according to early alerts to retailers. The movie, directed by David Bowers and Sam Fell, featured the voice talents of Hugh JackmanKate WinsletIan McKellen, Jean Reno, Bill Nighy, and Andy Serkis. Tech specs for the Blu-ray include 1080p HD video in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio and DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound. The Blu-ray is available to pre-order now over at Amazon. The release will come with a digital copy compatible with Movies Anywhere. Bonus materials set to be included on the release are listed below.
