“The Shield: The Complete Series” box set is coming to Blu-ray Disc in November
Mill Creek Entertainment has announced plans today to bring the show “The Shield: The Complete Series“ in a 18-disc box set to Blu-ray Disc on November 6th. The show, starring Michael Chiklis and created by Shawn Ryan, premiered in 2002, and ran for a total of 7 seasons. The Blu-ray box set will include all 88 episodes of the series, which have been restored in a new 4K resolution scan from their original 16MM film source. This show will be presented in full 1080p HD video on the release and audio quality has not been detailed yet, so stay tuned for an update on that. The box set is available for PRE-ORDER now over at Amazon. All of the bonus materials from the previous DVD release will be “ported” over on this Blu-ray release such as deleted scenes and audio commentaries on episodes.
