Saw II, III, & IV get 4K SteelBooks in October

The films “Saw II“ (2005), “Saw III“ (2006), and “Saw IV“ (2007) are getting 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook releases on October 28th via Lionsgate. These will be exclusive to Amazon. Darren Lynn Bousman directed all three of these movies in the “Saw” franchise.
The tech specs for the release include 2160p video presentations in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio, featuring Dolby Vision (or HDR10) high dynamic range and Dolby Atmos sound. NOTE: These are all the theatrical versions of the film, and not the UNRATED cuts or Director’s Cut. This has already upset some fans of the franchise, and I’m unsure what the strategy behind this move was. Each release will come as a “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart and a digital copy of the film included.

The 2013 film “The Conjuring” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook on August 26th via Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment. James Wan directed the movie. It starred Patrick Wilson, Vera Farmiga, Ron Livingston, and Lili Taylor. It’s worth noting that the film remains “Certified Fresh” (based on critics) at Rotten Tomatoes.
The tech specs for the 4K release(s) include a 2160p video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 form of high dynamic and lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround sound. Both the standard 4K and 4K SteelBook will include a digital copy of the film, compatible with Movies Anywhere.
The 4K UHD Blu-ray is not yet available (at Amazon) to preorder, but stay tuned for an update. However, you can find the 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook available for preorder at Amazon. The Monkey comes to 4K and Blu-ray in June

The 2025 film “The Monkey” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on June 24th. Decal Releasing will be distributing for NEON. Osgood Perkins directed and wrote the screenplay adaptation, based on a short story by Stephen King. James Wan produced. The film stars Theo James, Tatiana Maslany, Elijah Wood, Adam Scott, and Sarah Levy. It’s certainly worth noting that this movie is “Certified Fresh” by critics on Rotten Tomatoes.
The tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p video presentation in a 2.00:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 lossless surround sound. 2024 Horror film Night Swim on Blu-ray in April

The 2024 horror film “Night Swim” is officially coming to Blu-ray Disc on April 9th via Universal Studios Home Entertainment. The film, produced by Jason Blum & James Wan and directed by Bryce McGuire, stars, Wyatt Russell, Kerry Condon, Amélie Hoeferle, and Gavin Warren.
The tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio and DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 lossless surround sound on a BD-50 disc. The release will come in the form of a “combo pack” with its DVD counterpart along with a digital code (copy) of the film. The 2023 film “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom” is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on March 12th via Warner Bros. Home Entertainment. The film, directed by James Wan, stars Jason Momoa, Patrick Wilson, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Amber Heard, Nicole Kidman, Randall Park, Temuera Morrison, Dolph Lundgren, and Martin Short.
The tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p video presentation with Dolby Vision and HDR10 form of high dynamic range and Dolby Atmos sound. The tech specs for the Blu-ray release include a 1080p HD video presentation and Dolby Atmos sound. Both releases will contain a digital code (copy) of the film. It may not have initially received a release on the format, but the 2021 film “Malignant“ is finally coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on May 24th via Warner Bros. Home Entertainment, according to retail sources. The film, produced, co-written & directed by James Wan, stars Annabelle Wallis, Maddie Hasson, George Young, Michole Briana White, Jean Louisa Kelly, Susanna Thompson, Jake Abel, and Jacqueline McKenzie. It is most certainly worth noting, that at the time of writing, this film is “Certified Fresh” currently over at Rotten Tomatoes.
The tech specs for the release have not yet been detailed but you can for sure expect a 2160p video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with at least HDR10 (and possibly Dolby Vision) form of high dynamic range along with Dolby Atmos sound — as featured on HBO Max. The release will come in the form of a “combo pack” (according to the artwork), meaning it will come with its Blu-ray counterpart and also include a digital code (copy) of the film.

The 2004 horror film “Saw” — in its UNRATED form — will be getting a 4K UHD Blu-ray release on May 11th via Lionsgate, according to retailers. The film, directed by James Wan, starred Cary Elwes, Danny Glover, Monica Potter, Shawnee Smith, Ken Leung, Dina Meyer, and Leigh Whannell. Tech specs for the release have not yet been detailed, nor have the bonus materials for the release but stay tuned for an update. The release will come in the form of a “combo pack” meaning that it will include the Blu-ray Disc counterpart as well as a digital code (copy) of the film.
UPDATES: The release date actually appears it will be May 11th, as noted, and not the week before as one retailer had been indicating. As of now, you can find the 4K UHD Blu-ray available for preorder over at Amazon.
UPDATE: There officially will be a 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook available for this release (pictured below) that will come as a retailer exclusive over at Best Buy.
