The 1980 comedy “Private Benjamin“ is coming to Blu-ray Disc on April 28th via Warner Archive (Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment).

Howard Zieff directed the movie, which starred Goldie Hawn. The film co-starred Eileen Brennan, Albert Brooks, Mary Kay Place, Armand Assante, and the late Harry Dean Stanton. It’s worth noting that this movie was nominated for 3 Academy Awards (“Oscars”), including best actress in leading and supporting roles.

The tech specs for Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in a 1.85:1 aspect ratio with lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 Mono sound, on a BD-50 disc. The Blu-ray is now available for preorder at Amazon and MovieZyng. The bonus material included with the release is listed.

The 1991 film My Girl is coming to 4K in February

The 1991 film “My Girl“ will officially be released on 4K UHD Blu-ray on February 25th via Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. Howard Zieff directed the film, which starred Dan Aykroyd, Jamie Lee Curtis, Macaulay Culkin, and Anna Chlumsky.

The movie has received a new transfer scanned from the original camera negative with an HDR grade approved by cinematographer Paul Elliott. The tech specs for the 4K include a 2160p video presentation in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision (or HDR10) form of high dynamic range and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround or 2.0 surround sound. The release will include a digital copy of the film, compatible with Movies Anywhere.
