The 1967 film Point Blank on Criterion 4K in April

John Boorman directed the movie, which starred Lee Marvin. It co-starred Angie Dickinson, Keenan Wynn, Carroll O’Connor, Lloyd Bochner, Michael Strong, Sharon Acker, and John Vernon.

The tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray include a 2160p video presentation in a 2.35:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision (HDR10-compatible) with uncompressed Linear PCM Mono sound. Tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in a 2.35:1 aspect ratio with LPCM Mono sound. The 4K release will come as a 2-disc “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart included.

This movie has received a new 4K digital restoration, supervised and approved by director John Boorman. You can now find the 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray available for preorder at Amazon. Anaconda “remake” comes to 4K and Blu-ray in March

Tom Gormican directed and co-wrote the movie, based on the 1997 film of the same title. It stars Paul Rudd and Jack Black. The supporting cast includes Steve Zahn, Thandiwe Newton, Daniela Melchior, and Selton Mello.

The tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray include a 2160p video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision (HDR10-compatible) high dynamic range and Dolby Atmos sound. Tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio and lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround sound. Both releases will come with a digital code (copy) compatible with Movies Anywhere.

Richard Pryor… Here and Now comes to 4K in February

It’s most certainly worth noting that Richard Pryor actually directed the special himself, which he co-wrote with the late great Paul Mooney.

The tech specs on 4K UHD Blu-ray include a 2160p video presentation in a 1.85:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision (HDR10-compatible) high dynamic range and lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 Mono sound, on a BD-66 disc. It seems no digital code (copy) or bonus materials will be included on this release.

The 2016 sequel Kung Fu Panda 3 gets a 4K in March

There will also be a Kung Fu Panda 4-Movie Collection on 4K UHD Blu-ray (pictured above) set to be released on March 3rd, also from Universal Studios Home Entertainment. It’s now available for preorder at Amazon and GRUV. That set will not include Blu-ray Disc counterparts, only the 4K discs and digital codes. The full tech specs for the films feature a variety of 2.35:1 and 2.39:1 aspect ratios, each in a 2160p video presentation, with Dolby Vision (HDR10 compatible) and Dolby Atmos sound.

The audio format(s) and configuration(s) haven’t been officially announced, but stay tuned for an update. The release will be a 2-disc “combo pack” that includes its Blu-ray Disc counterpart.
