A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms on 4K and Blu-ray

The HBO original series “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Complete First Season” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray on June 16th via Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment.
The show, created by George R.R. Martin & Ira Parker, is a spin-off, or rather origin story, set before the events of the “Game of Thrones” series. It stars Peter Claffey and Dexter Sol Ansell. The supporting cast includes Daniel Ings, Danny Webb, Shaun Thomas, Finn Bennett, Daniel Monks, Sam Spruell, Bertie Carvel, and Cara Harris.
The tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray have yet to be detailed, but I have put in a request to Warner for further details. Stay tuned for an update on that. The show will be presented in a 2.00:1 aspect ratio on both formats.

The 2004 film Meet the Fockers comes to 4K in April

The 2004 sequel “Meet the Fockers“ is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on April 14th via Universal Studios Home Entertainment.
Jay Roach directed the movie. It starred Ben Stiller, Teri Polo, Robert De Niro, Dustin Hoffman, Barbra Streisand, Blythe Danner, and Owen Wilson. This was the first sequel to the film “Meet the Parents” (2000), which is already available on 4K UHD Blu-ray.
The tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray include a 2160p video presentation in a 1.85:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision (HDR10 compatible) high dynamic range and Dolby Atmos sound, on a BD-66 disc. The 2-disc release will be a “combo pack” with the Blu-ray Disc counterpart included, as well as a digital code (copy) of the film compatible with Movies Anywhere.

Brian De Palma film Hi, Mom! is coming to 4K in May

The 1970 film “Hi, Mom!“ is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray in Limited Edition on May 19th via Radiance Films, distributed stateside by MVD Entertainment Group.
Brian De Palma co-wrote and directed the movie, which starred Robert De Niro. It co-starred Charles Durning, Allen Garfield, Jennifer Salt, Paul Bartel, and Gerrit Graham.
The movie has received a 4K restoration from the original camera negative. The tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray include a 2160p video presentation in a 1.85:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision (HDR10-compatible) high dynamic range and uncompressed Linear PCM Mono sound. The 2-disc set will come as a “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart included. This set will be a limited edition of just 5000 copies total.

The 2026 sequel “28 Years Later: The Bone Temple” comes to 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook and Blu-ray on April 21st via Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.
The movie was directed by Nia DaCosta, written by Alex Garland, and produced by Danny Boyle. It stars Ralph Fiennes, Alfie Williams, Maura Bird, Ghazi Al Ruffai, Jack O’Connell, and Erin Kellyman.
The tech specs for the 4K include a 2160p video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision (HDR10-compatible) high dynamic range and Dolby Atmos sound. The tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio with lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround sound.
You can find the 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook (pictured in further detail below) and Blu-ray available for preorder at Amazon. Also, the Blu-ray is available for preorder at Walmart, while the 4K SteelBook has already sold out there.

The Da Vinci Code gets a 4K SteelBook release in May

The 2006 film “The Da Vinci Code“ will get a “20th Anniversary Edition“ 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook release on May 19th via Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.
Ron Howard directed the film, based on the novel [of the same title] written by Dan Brown. It starred Tom Hanks, Audrey Tautou, Ian McKellen, Alfred Molina, Jürgen Prochnow, Paul Bettany, and Jean Reno.
NOTE: This movie has been previously released [back in 2016] on the 4K UHD Blu-ray format. However, this time around it’s going to come in its correct 2.39:1 aspect ratio as well as both the theatrical (148-minute) and extended (174-minute) versions of the film on individual 4K discs. Also, the previous 4K release was presented in a 2.40:1 aspect ratio, incorrectly, as it was intended for a 2.39:1 aspect. That has been corrected.
The tech specs for the 20th Anniversary Edition 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook included a 2160p video presentation in the [intended] 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision (HDR10-compatible) high dynamic range, along with Dolby Atmos and lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround sound.
UPDATED: The 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook is now available for preorder at Amazon.
The release will arrive as a 3-disc set, including a Blu-ray with bonus materials, listed below. Also, the two different versions of the film will be housed on two separate 4K UHD Blu-ray discs, as shown below.
