The hit TV series “Game of Thrones: The Complete Collection” will finally be coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on November 3rd, via HBO, according to retailers. The series, based on George R.R. Martin‘s book series, ran from 2011 through 2019. It had previously received 4K releases of the first and final seasons of the show, but now it will receive a box set release on the 4K UHD Blu-ray format, spanning across 33 discs, containing all eight seasons. The 4K box set will not include the Blu-ray Disc versions of the seasons, as previously the case, but will come with a digital code (copy) of all eight seasons. The tech specs for the 33-disc set include a 2160p video presentation in the 1.78:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 and Dolby Vision forms of High Dynamic Range along with Dolby Atmos sound. You can now find the 4K UHD Blu-ray set available for preorder over at Amazon as well as at online retailer Deep Discount, and at Best Buy. Speaking of which, there will also be an exclusive4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook set available over at retailer Best Buy (pictured below), which is now available for preorder.

The 2020 original TV series “The Outsider” in “The Complete First Season” is officially coming to Blu-ray Disc on June 9th, via HBO (Warner). The series, based on the novel (of the same title) written by Stephen King, was executive produced & partially directed by Jason Bateman, and it includes a cast of Ben Mendelsohn, Bill Camp, Jeremy Bobb, Mare Winningham, Paddy Considine, Yul Vazquez, Julianne Nicholson, Marc Menchaca, and Cynthia Erivo. Tech specs for the release include 1080p HD video and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 sound, spanning across a 3-disc set. The release will come with a digital code (copy) of the first season. You can’t yet find it available over at Amazon to preorder, but it is listed for preorder on Blu-ray now over at online retailers Deep Discount & HD Movie Source as well as retailers Target & Walmart. The 1998 TV mini-series “From the Earth to the Moon“ from executive producer Tom Hanks is slated to be coming to Blu-ray Disc on July 16th via HBO. This according to numerous listings on retailer sites. The mini-series featured Hanks as the host (narrator) and the included a cast of Nick Searcy, Lane Smith, David Andrews, Daniel Hugh Kelly, Chris Isaak, and Stephen Root. Tech specs for the 3-disc set include 1080p HD video in the 1.78:1 aspect ratio that has been digitally remastered with a lossless surround mix – presumably DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound (although not yet confirmed). There’s also no word yet on the bonus materials (if any) set to be included aside from a digital copy of the series (as shown on the artwork pictured above). The 2018 limited series “Sharp Objects“ starring Amy Adams is coming to Blu-ray Disc on November 27th via HBO (Warner). This critically-acclaimed miniseries, created by Marti Noxon, co-stars Patricia Clarkson, Chris Messina, Eliza Scanlen, Matt Craven, Henry Czerny, Taylor John Smith, Madison Davenport, Miguel Sandoval, and Sophia Lillis. It’s also worth noting this is “Certified Fresh” over at Rotten Tomatoes where, at time of writing, it carries a 93% rating.

Retailer Best Buy has unveiled two ExclusiveSteelbook releases for “Westworld: Season Two – The Door” on both 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc, set for a December 4th release from HBO (Warner). The release had previously been detailed earlier last month in a news post. Still no tech specs or info yet regarding bonus materials. Refer to that previous news post though for links to the standard (non-Steelbook) versions, which are available for pre-order. The PRE-ORDER listings for these Steelbook releases are now available over at Best Buy for the 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc releases. The HBO series “Westworld” is receiving home video release of its second season, according to an early alert to retailers. “Westworld: Season Two – The Door” is coming to both 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on December 4th via HBO (Warner). Tech specs and bonus materials have not yet been detailed by the studio, that I have seen, so stay tuned for an update on that. They should be identical to the tech specs on the first season, you would think. Just speculating there, though.
