The 2020 TV series adaptation of Stephen King‘s “The Stand“ is officially coming to Blu-ray Disc on October 5th, via CBS Home Entertainment and Paramount Home Entertainment. The TV series, as seen on Paramount Plus (formerly CBS All Access), starred James Marsden, Odessa Young, Alexander Skarsgård, Amber Heard, Jovan Adepo, Owen Teague, Brad William Henke, Henry Zaga, Ezra Miller, Greg Kinnear, and Whoopi Goldberg.
UPDATE: The tech specs for the release include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 lossless surround sound, spanning across what seems to be a 3-disc set. Stay tuned for an update, as I’ve asked CBS for more info in regards to those specifics.

It’s also worth noting that there will be “The Stand: The Definitive 2-Series Collection“ 2-pack set on Blu-ray available on October 5th as well, and now available for preorder over at Amazon (pictured below). That will include both the 1994 TV series adaptation and the 2020 TV series adaptation together.

The 2019 reboot of “The Twilight Zone“ hosted by Jordan Peele, in its first season (Season One), will be getting a Blu-ray Disc release on February 18th, 2020 via Paramount, according to retailers. The show, which aired on CBS All Access, has been renewed for a second season (next year). Here, in its first season, the show featured cast members like Kumail Nanjiani, Adam Scott, Sanaa Lathan, Steven Yeun, Greg Kinnear, John Cho, Jacob Tremblay, DeWanda Wise, Taissa Farmiga, Ginnifer Goodwin, Chris O’Dowd, Zazie Beetz, and Seth Rogen. Tech specs and bonus materials for the release have not yet been detailed, but it is known that it will be a 5-disc set – including all 10 episodes. I’ll be updating this story later on, once I get some more info regarding this release from the folks at Paramount (or CBS). Stay tuned. The 2019 biographical sports drama “Brian Banks“ starring Aldis Hodge is coming to Blu-ray Disc on November 12th via Universal. The film, based on a true story & directed by Tom Shadyac, co-stars Greg Kinnear, Tiffany Dupont, Sherri Shepherd, and Melanie Liburd. Tech specs for the Blu-ray include 1080p HD video in the 2.40:1 aspect ratio and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 sound, on a BD-50. The release will come with a digital code (copy) of the film.
