The Running Man [2025] is coming to 4K in March

The 2025 film adaptation of “The Running Man” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook on March 3rd via Paramount. Edgar Wright co-wrote [the adaptation] and directed the film, based on the novel by Stephen King. It stars Glen Powell, Josh Brolin, Colman Domingo, and Lee Pace. It also co-stars William H. Macy, Michael Cera, Sean Hayes, Katy O’Brian, and Martin Herlihy.
The tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray include a 2160p video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision (HDR10 compatible) high dynamic range and Dolby Atmos sound. The tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio and Dolby Atmos sound.
Each release will come as a 2-disc “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart included, along with a digital code (copy) of the movie. The 4K UHD Blu-ray and 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook are each now available for preorder at Amazon.
EDITORIAL NOTE: In fact, there will not be an individual Blu-ray release for this film. If you want to own this on physical media, you have a choice to either buy the 4K combo pack and get the Blu-ray or settle for it on DVD.

The 2024 film Twisters on 4K and Blu-ray in October

The 2024 film “Twisters” is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on October 22nd via Universal Studios Home Entertainment. The film, a sequel to “Twister” (1996), directed by Lee Isaac Chung, stars Daisy Edgar-Jones, Glen Powell, Anthony Ramos, Brandon Perea, Maura Tierney, and Sasha Lane. It’s worth noting that this film is “Certified Fresh” on Rotten Tomatoes.
The tech specs for the 4K include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and hDR10 forms of high dynamic range and Dolby Atmos sound, on a BD-100 disc. Tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Atmos sound, on a BD-50 disc. The 4K releases will be a “combo pack” with its Blu-ray counterpart included. The 4K and Blu-ray releases will each include a digital copy compatible with Movies Anywhere. The 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray are now available for preorder at Amazon. You can also find a preorder for the 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray via online retailer GRUV.
A 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook (pictured below) will be released as an exclusive at retailer Walmart. It’s currently sold out, but check back later close to the release date for an availability change.
