1988 film “Red Heat“ starring Arnold Schwarzenegger is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on October 29th via Lionsgate. The film, directed by Walter Hill, co-starred Jim Belushi, Peter Boyle, Ed O’Ross, Laurence Fishburne, and Gina Gershon. Tech specs for the 4K include 2160p video in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 and Dolby Vision forms of High Dynamic Range and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 sound. The release will come in the form of “combo pack” with the Blu-ray Disc counterpart and a digital code (copy) of the film. You can now find the 4K UHD Blu-ray available for pre-order over at Amazon. Olive Films has plans to bring the 1996 film “Bound“ starring Gina Gershon and Jennifer Tilly, to Blu-ray Disc in a Olive Signature release on August 28th. The film was written and directed by The Wachowskis (of “Matrix” fame). Tech specs for the release include full 1080p HD video in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio and Stereo sound, although not yet specified in what format. The release has received a “new High-Definition digital restoration” according to the official announcement. A PRE-ORDER listing is available now over at Amazon.
