Marty Supreme is coming to 4K and Blu-ray in March

The movie, directed & co-written by Josh Safdie, was produced by and stars Timothée Chalamet. The film co-stars Odessa A’zion, Gwyneth Paltrow, Kevin O’Leary, Tyler the Creator, Larry ‘Ratso’ Sloman, Luke Manley, Sandra Bernhard, and Fran Drescher. It’s worth noting that this film is “Certified Fresh” [based on critics’ reviews] at Rotten Tomatoes. The film is nominated for a total of 9 Oscars (Academy Awards). That includes nominations in the categories of Best Picture, Best Actor in a Leading Role, Best Achievement in Directing, and Best Original Screenplay.

The tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray include a 2160p video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision (HDR10-compatible) high dynamic range and Dolby Atmos sound. The tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio and Dolby Atmos sound. The 4K UHD Blu-ray will come as a 2-disc “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart included.

For now, you can preorder the 4K UHD Blu-ray or Blu-ray directly via the A24 Store. You can’t find the 4K UHD Blu-ray or Blu-ray yet available for preorder at Amazon. It’s also unclear if the 4K release will be exclusive to the A24 Store or not. Stay tuned for updates.

Each release includes a set of six collectible postcards with behind-the-scenes photography by Atsushi Nishijima. Also, the 4K UHD Blu-ray features an exclusive embossed metallic slipcase and an exclusive 22-minute featurette. It is listed below along with a list of the other bonus materials included, sorted by disc.

The 1984 film This Is Spinal Tap on 4K in September

The 1984 Mockumentary “This Is Spinal Tap” comes to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray on September 16th via The Criterion Collection. Rob Reiner directed the film. It starred Michael McKean, Christopher Guest, and Harry Shearer. It also co-starred Rob Reiner, Bruno Kirby, Tony Hendra, Ed Begley Jr., and Fran Drescher.

The movie has received a new 4K digital restoration, approved by director Rob Reiner. The tech specs for the 4K include a 2160p video presentation in a 1.85:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision or HDR10 forms of high dynamic range. It will feature a lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround sound mix and uncompressed Linear PCM 2.0 stereo. The tech specs for the Blu-ray Special Edition include a 1080p HD video presentation in a 1.85:1 aspect ratio with DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround and PCM 2.0 stereo sound. The 4K UHD release will come as a 2-disc “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart included.

The 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Special Edition are not yet available for preorder at Amazon. Stay tuned for an update. You can, however, preorder directly via the Criterion website. The bonus materials set to be included with the releases are listed below.

“Hotel Transylvania 3” comes to both 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc in October

The 2018 CG animated sequel “Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation” is coming to both 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on October 9th via Sony, according to an early retailer alert. Both the 4K and Blu-ray releases will come in the form of a “Monster Party Edition” (as the artwork suggests). The releases will also come as a “combo pack” with the 4K getting a Blu-ray, Blu-ray getting a DVD and both getting a Digital Copy of the film included. Tech specs have not yet been detailed, and the only bonus materials we know about so far are the 2 Mini-Movies (mentioned on the art). Stay tuned for further updates once the studio (Sony) officially announces this title.

Lastly, speaking of Best Buy, it’s worth noting that it appears they’ll be getting an Exclusive Steelbook for the Blu-ray release of the film.
