Borderlands comes to 4K and Blu-ray in October

According to retailers, the 2024 film “Borderlands” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on October 22nd via Lionsgate. The film, based on the 2K video game of the same title, directed and co-written by Eli Roth, stars Cate Blanchett, Kevin Hart, Jack Black, Ariana Greenblatt, Florian Munteanu, and Jamie Lee Curtis.

The tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and HDR10 forms of high dynamic range and Dolby Atmos sound. Tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio and Dolby Atmos sound. All of the releases will come in the form of a “combo pack” with the 4K getting its Blu-ray Disc counterpart, the Blu-ray getting its DVD counterpart, and each including a digital copy. The 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray are available for preorder at Amazon. There will also be 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBooks available (pictured below) exclusively at Amazon and retailer Walmart. “Creed II” with Michael B. Jordan comes to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray in March

The 2018 film “Creed II” starring Michael B. Jordan and Sylvester Stallone is coming to both 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on March 5th, via Warner. The film, directed by Steven Caple Jr., co-stars Tessa Thompson, Phylicia Rashad, Wood Harris, Milo Ventimiglia, Andre Ward, Florian Munteanu, and Dolph Lundgren.

Tech specs for the 4K include 2160p video in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with both Dolby Vision and HDR10 forms of High Dynamic range with DTS-HD 7.1 Master Audio sound. The technical specifications for the Blu-ray include 1080p video in the 2.39:1 aspect and DTS-HD 7.1 Master Audio sound. Both releases will come in the form of a “combo pack” with the 4K getting a Blu-ray included, the Blu-ray getting a DVD included, and each getting a Digital Copy of the film. Both the 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray are now available for pre-order over at Amazon. It is also known that retailer Best Buy will be getting an Exclusive Steelbook for the 4K release.
