Blake Edwards Pink Panther films on 4K in December

Four of the original live-action “Pink Panther” films directed by Blake Edwards are coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on December 16th via KL Studio Classics. This includes “The Pink Panther” (1963), “A Shot in the Dark” (1964), “The Pink Panther Strikes Again” (1976), and “Revenge of the Pink Panther” (1978). These films all starred Peter Sellers (as “Chief Inspector Clouseau”).
The first movie features a new 4K scan of the 35mm original Technirama camera negative. The other films feature new 4K scans from the 35mm original camera negative(s). The tech specs for each film include a 2160p video presentation in 2.20:1, 2.39:1, and 2.35:1 aspect ratios, in Dolby Vision (HDR10 compatible), with lossless 5.1 and 2.0 sound, each on a BD-100 disc. Individually, these releases will be a 2-disc “combo pack” with their Blu-ray Disc counterpart(s) included.
The 4K UHD Blu-ray releases of “The Pink Panther” (1963), “A Shot in the Dark,” “The Pink Panther Strikes Again,” and “Revenge of the Pink Panther” are now individually available for preorder at Amazon.
