Christopher Nolan film Tenet on 4K and Blu-ray December

The 2020 film “Tenet” starring John David Washington is officially coming to both 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on December 15th, via Warner. The film, written and directed by Christopher Nolan, co-stars Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Dimple Kapadia, Martin Donovan, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Kenneth Branagh, and Michael Caine.

The 4K UHD Blu-ray will arrive as a “combo pack” meaning that it will include a Blu-ray Disc counterpart and a digital code (copy) of the film. The Blu-ray release (pictured below) will also come as a “combo pack” and include a DVD counterpart and a digital code (copy) of the film. Tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray release include a 2160p presentation with HDR10 form of high dynamic range and a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 sound mix. The Blu-ray release should include a 1080p presentation and also should contain a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 sound mix.

UPDATE: You can now find the 4K UHD Blu-ray and the Blu-ray listed for preorder over at Amazon and at retailer Best Buy. There will also be a 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook release of the film which will be exclusive to retailer Best Buy (pictured below). It is now available for preorder at Best Buy.

Both the 4K and Blu-ray physical releases will contain the following bonus material listed below.

  • Looking at the World in a New Way: The Making of “Tenet” – An hour-long exploration of the development and production of the film as told by the cast and crew.

Steve McQueen film “Widows” comes to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray in February

The 2018 Steve McQueen directed film “Widows” is slated for release on both 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc formats February 5th, 2018 via Fox The film’s cast includes Viola Davis, Michelle Rodriguez, Elizabeth Debicki, Cynthia Erivo, Colin Farrell, Jon Bernthal, Robert Duvall, and Liam Neeson. This film has received mostly positive reviews from critics. In fact, Widows is currently “Certified Fresh” (at time of writing) over at Rotten Tomatoes.

Tech specs for the 4K include 2160p video presented in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 form of High Dynamic Range and Dolby Atmos sound. The technical specifications for the Blu-ray release include 1080p video in the 2.39:1 aspect and Dolby Atmos sound. Each version will come in the form of a “comb pack” with the 4K release getting a Blu-ray, and the Blu-ray getting a DVD, with both include a Digital Copy of the film. The 2018 sequel “The Cloverfield Paradox“ is coming to Blu-ray Disc on February 5th, 2019 via Paramount. The film  (as seen on Netflix) was produced by J.J. Abrams and directed by Julius Onah. The cast includes Elizabeth Debicki, Aksel Hennie, Chris O’Dowd, John Ortiz, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, David Oyelowo, Daniel Brühl, Ziyi Zhang, and Roger Davies.

Tech specs for the Blu-ray include 1080p video in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio and Dolby Atmos sound. The Blu-ray is available for pre-order over at Amazon. Bonus materials set to be included on the release are listed below.
