American Underdog on 4K and Blu-ray in February

The 2021 film “American Underdog” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray on February 22nd via Lionsgate.  The biographical sports drama, based on the life of NFL quarterback Kurt Warner, was directed by Andrew Erwin & Jon Erwin and stars Zachary Levi, Anna Paquin, Dennis Quaid, Bruce McGill, and Adam Baldwin.

The tech specs for the 4K and Blu-ray release have not yet been fully detailed but stay tuned for an update.  There’s also no word yet regarding the bonus materials set to be included with the releases either.  It is known that both releases will come in the form of a “combo pack” with the 4K getting its Blu-ray counterpart, the Blu-ray getting its DVD counterpart and each receiving a digital code (copy) of the film.

2009 film G.I. Joe The Rise of Cobra comes to 4K in late July

The 2009 film “G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra” is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on July 20th via Paramount Home Entertainment. The film, based on the popular Hasbro action figure franchise, directed by Stephen Sommers, featured a cast of Dennis Quaid, Channing Tatum, Marlon Wayans, Ray Park, Sienna Miller, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Christopher Eccleston, Karolina Kurkova, Lee Byung-Hun, Rachel Nichols, Jonathan Pryce, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

The tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 and Dolby Vision forms of high dynamic range as well as DTS-HD Master 5.1 lossless surround sound. The release will come in the form of a “combo pack” meaning that it will come with its Blu-ray counterpart and a digital code (copy) of the film. You can now find the 4K UHD Blu-ray available for preorder over at Amazon. The only bonus material set to be included with this release will be an audio commentary, found on both the 4K and Blu-ray disc, listed below.

The 2019 Roland Emmerich directed film “Midway” is officially coming to both 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on February 18th via Lionsgate. The film, which was based on real events, features a cast of Ed Skrein, Patrick Wilson, Luke Evans, Nick Jonas, Mandy Moore, Dennis Quaid, Aaron Eckhart, and Woody Harrelson. Tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray include 2160p video in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 and Dolby Vision forms of High Dynamic Range and Dolby Atmos sound. The technical specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect and Dolby Atmos sound. The 2019 horror film “The Intruder“ is officially coming to Blu-ray Disc on July 30th via Sony. The film, directed by Deon Taylor, stars Michael Ealy, Meagan Good, Joseph Sikora, and Dennis Quaid. Tech specs for the Blu-ray release include 1080p HD video in the 2.35:1 aspect ratio and DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound. The Blu-ray will come with a digital copy of the film. 2018 Sci-Fi film “Kin” is coming to both 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray in November

The 2018 Sci-Fi film “Kin” written and directed by Jonathan Baker and Josh Baker is coming to both 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on November 20th via Lionsgate. The film features a cast that includes Myles Truitt, Jack Reynor, Dennis Quaid, Zoë Kravitz, James Franco, Carrie Coon, Ian Matthews, Gavin Fox, and Michael B. Jordan. Tech specs for both releases include video in the 2.00:1 aspect ratio with DTS:X and Dolby Digital 2.0 (optimized for late night listening) sound. The 4K release will include both HDR10 and Dolby Vision forms of High Dynamic Range. The releases will both come in the form of “combo pack” with the 4K release getting a Blu-ray, the Blu-ray getting a DVD, and both getting a Digital Copy of the film included.
