Amazon Commissions Earned

The 1980 film “Used Cars” is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on November 15th [as spine #67] in the Shout Select line from Shout! Factory.  The film, directed and co-written by Robert Zemeckis, starred Kurt Russell, Gerrit Graham, Frank McRae, Deborah Harmon, Joe Flaherty, David L. Lander, Michael McKean, and Jack Warden.

The film has received a new 4K from the original camera negative.  Tech specs for the release have not been fully detailed but you can expect a 2160p video presentation in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio presumably with at least HDR10 form of high dynamic range.  The sound configuration has not yet been detailed, but if it is the same as the 2019 Blu-ray, should again include DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround and 2.0 Mono lossless sound mixes.  This upcoming 2022 4K UHD Blu-ray release will come in the form of a “Collector’s Edition” 2-disc “combo pack” with the Blu-ray counterpart included.

You can now find the 4K UHD Blu-ray available for preorder over at Amazon as well as directly via the ShoutFactory.com store, where you’ll get an exclusive bonus poster (while supplies last).  The bonus materials set to be included with this release are listed below.
