BBC brings Good Omens to Blu-ray October

2019 BBC produced TV miniseries “Good Omens“ starring David Tennant and Michael Sheen is coming to Blu-ray Disc on October 1st via BBC Studios, according to retail listings. As seen on Amazon Prime Video, the miniseries is based on the book written by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman. This critically-acclaimed miniseries features a supporting cast of Adria Arjona, Jack Whitehall, Michael McKean, Jon Hamm, Sam Taylor Buck, and the voice of Frances McDormand. Tech specs and bonus materials for the release have not yet been detailed, but stay tuned for a later update on that. You can already find the Blu-ray available for pre-order over at Amazon. Lastly, despite the fact it is available in 4K (on Amazon Prime Video) it seems doubtful that you’ll see this get a 4K UHD Blu-ray release.

Doctor Who: Complete David Tennant Blu-ray

British TV series “Doctor Who” will get a “Doctor Who: The Complete David Tennant Collection“ Blu-ray Disc set on September 17th via BBC Studios, according to retailers. The 12-disc set will include the series episodes and seasons starring David Tennant as the “Tenth Doctor“ – which span from the years 2005 through 2010. Tech specs and bonus materials for the release have not yet been detailed but stay tuned. I’ll try to reach out soon to my contact at BBC to acquire further info about this upcoming release. In the meantime, you can now find the Blu-ray set available for pre-order over at Amazon.

“Mary Queen of Scots” is coming to both 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray in February

The 2018 film “Mary Queen of Scots” starring Saoirse Ronan and Margot Robbie is coming to both 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on February 26th, via Universal. The film, directed by Josie Rourke, co-stars Jack Lowden, Joe Alwyn, Guy Pearce, and David Tennant. Tech specs for the 4K include 2160p video presented in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and HDR10 forms of High Dynamic Range and Dolby Atmos sound. Technical specs for the Blu-ray include 1080p video in the 2.39:1 aspect with Dolby Atmos sound. The 4K release (a “combo pack”) will come with a Blu-ray included, and both releases will come with a Digital Copy of the film included. Both the 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray both are available to pre-order now over at Amazon. Bonus materials set to be included on the release are listed below.

“Bad Samaritan” starring David Tennant is coming to Blu-ray in August

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment today has officially announced plans to bring the 2018 thriller “Bad Samaritan” starring  David Tennant and Robert Sheehan to Blu-ray Disc on August 14th. The title is available for PRE-ORDER over at Amazon. Tech specs have not yet been detailed, but I’d say to expect full 1080p HD video and DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound, however stay tuned for an update (confirmation) on that. The only bonus materials set to be included on the release are Deleted Scenes. Further below, after the break, you’ll find the official announcement.
