The 2012 film End of Watch comes to 4K in January

The 2012 film “End of Watch“ is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook on January 20th via Shout! Studios. David Ayer directed, produced, and wrote the movie. It starred Jake Gyllenhaal, Michael Peña, Anna Kendrick, David Harbour, Natalie Martinez, Frank Grillo, and America Ferrera. It’s certainly worth noting that, still to this day, the movie carries a “Certified Fresh” rating based on critics’ reviews at Rotten Tomatoes.
Tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray include a 2160p video presentation in a 1.85:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision (HDR10 compatible). The audio format(s) have yet to be announced, but stay tuned for an update. I’ve even gone as far as to reach out to the director, but I’ll also try asking Shout! Studios. This will be a 2-disc set and come as a “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart.

The 2015 film Fury gets 4K SteelBook in July

The 2015 film “Fury” will get a 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook release on July 15th via Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. David Ayer wrote and directed the movie. It starred Brad Pitt, Shia LaBeouf, Logan Lerman, Michael Peña, Jon Bernthal, Jason Isaacs, and Scott Eastwood. It’s certainly worth noting that this film is “Certified Fresh” by critics on Rotten Tomatoes. NOTE: This film was previously released on 4K UHD Blu-ray back in 2018. This version features Dolby Vision, whereas that version only had HDR10.
The tech specs for the 4K include a 2160p video presentation in a 2.40:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision or HDR10 form of high dynamic range. It will include Dolby Atmos sound and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround. The 4K release will come as a “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart included.

A Working Man comes to 4K and Blu-ray in June

The 2025 film “A Working Man” comes to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray on June 10th via Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment. David Ayer directed the film, which Sylvester Stallone co-wrote and produced. The movie starred Jason Statham, Jason Flemyng, David Harbour, Maximillian Osinski, Merab Ninidze, and Michael Peña. It’s certainly worth noting that audiences have made this “Verified Hot” on Rotten Tomatoes, despite critics not being as kind.
The tech specs for the 4K include a 2160p video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 and Dolby Atmos sound. Tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio and Dolby Atmos. Each release will include a digital copy of the film. No bonus material will be included on either physical media release.

The 2024 film “The Beekeeper” is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on April 23rd via Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment. The film, directed by David Ayer, stars Jason Statham, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Bobby Naderi, Josh Hutcherson, Jeremy Irons, David Witts, Michael Epp, Jemma Redgrave, and Minnie Driver.
The 4K UHD Blu-ray tech specs include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 form of high dynamic range and Dolby Atmos sound. Tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio and Dolby Atmos sound. Both releases will include a digital code (copy) of the film. You can now find the 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray available for preorder at Amazon and Walmart. No bonus materials are set to be included with either version.
