The 1979 film “Buck Rogers in the 25th Century” is coming to Blu-ray Disc on November 24th via KL Studio Classics. This is not to be confused with the TV series that ran from 1979 through 1981, after this. The film, directed by Daniel Haller, starred Gil Gerard (as Capt. William ‘Buck’ Rogers), Pamela Hensley, Erin Gray, Henry Silva, Tim O’Connor, H.B. Haggerty, and Joseph Wiseman. Tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation from a “brand new 2K master” and no specific details yet on the audio format or configuration. It is known that the release will come on a BD-50 (dual-layered) Blu-ray Disc. You can now find the Blu-ray available for preorder over at Amazon.
