Batman Year One commemorative 4K in November

The 2011 animated DC Universe Movie Batman: Year One will be getting a “Commemorative Edition” released to the 4K UHD Blu-ray format on November 9th via Warner Bros. Home Entertainment. The film, co-directed by Sam Liu and Lauren Montgomery, featured the voice talents of Ben McKenzie, Bryan Cranston, Eliza Dushku, Jeff Bennett, Jon Polito, Alex Rocco, Katee Sackhoff, Grey Griffin, Robin Atkin Downes, and Stephen Root.

The tech specs for the release include a 2160p video presentation in the 1.78:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 form of high dynamic range and the same lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 sound mix that was found on the previously released [2011] Blu-ray. This set will come in the form of a “combo pack” meaning that it will include its Blu-ray Disc counterpart as well as a digital code (copy) of the film — compatible with Movies Anywhere.

2014 version of Godzilla officially comes to 4K in March

The 2014 version of the film “Godzilla” is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on March 23rd via Warner. The film, directed by Gareth Edwards, starred Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ken Watanabe, Bryan Cranston, Elizabeth Olsen, Sally Hawkins, Juliette Binoche, and David Strathairn. The tech specs for the release include a 2.40:1 aspect ratio video presentation in HDR10 form of high dynamic range with Dolby Atmos sound. The release will come in the form of a “combo pack” meaning that it will come with its original Blu-ray Disc counterpart and a digital code (copy) of the film. You can now find the 4K UHD Blu-ray available for preorder over at Amazon. There will be an exclusive 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook release available over at retailer Best Buy (pictured below), which is now available for preorder.

I am only saying this is a rumor as the studio has not yet officially announced this title. The film, directed by Neil Burger, co-stars Nicole Kidman, Aja Naomi King, Jahi Di’Allo Winston, Genevieve Angelson, Golshifteh Farahani, Tate Donovan, and Julianna Margulies. There is no info yet regarding tech specs or bonus materials set to be included on the release. It is known that it will come in the form of a “combo pack” with a DVD and digital copy of the film included. The Blu-ray is available to pre-order over at Amazon and even has a placeholder over at Best Buy (with the release date listed). Stay tuned for any updates on this release.

Wes Anderson directed film “Isle of Dogs” is coming to Blu-ray in July

The 2018 Wes Anderson directed film “Isle of Dogs” is coming to Blu-ray Disc on July 17th via Fox Home Entertainment. The film features an all-star voice cast including talents like Bryan CranstonKoyu Rankin, Bill MurrayJeff Goldblum, Harvey Keitel, Frances McDormandScarlett Johansson, Greta Gerwig and Edward Norton, to just name a few.
