The 1994 sports drama “Blue Chips“ starring Nick Nolte and Shaquille O’Neal is making its debut to the Blu-ray Disc format on September 21st, via Paramount Home Entertainment. The film, directed by William Friedkin, co-starred Mary McDonnell, J.T. Walsh, Ed O’Neill, Alfre Woodard, Robert Wuhl, Bob Cousy, and featured cameos by Larry Bird and Bobby Knight.

The tech specs for the Blu-ray debut include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio with Dolby TrueHD 5.1 lossless surround sound. You can now find the Blu-ray available for preorder over at Amazon. No bonus materials will be included with this release.
