Commissions Earned

The 1995 film “Tommy Boy” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook on March 25th via Paramount Home Media Distribution. The film, directed by Peter Segal, starred Chris Farley, David Spade, Brian Dennehy, Bo Derek, Dan Aykroyd, Julie Warner, Sean McCann, and Zach Grenier. It’s worth noting that this film will be celebrating its 30th anniversary next year in 2025.

The tech specs for the 4K include a 2160p video presentation in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision (or HDR10) form of high dynamic range and Dolby TrueHD 5.1 lossless surround sound. The 4K releases will come as a “combo pack” with the Blu-ray Disc HD counterpart and a digital copy included.

The 4K UHD Blu-ray and the 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook (pictured below) are now available for preorder at Amazon. NOTE: This film will not get a standard Blu-ray Disc release on home video. If you want this movie on Blu-ray you’ll have to purchase one of the two 4K UHD Blu-ray releases. This is a strategy from Paramount regarding 4K and Blu-ray releases. All of the legacy bonus materials will be included with these releases.
