The 2023 film Renfield is coming to 4K in April

The 2023 film “Renfield” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on April 1st via Scream Factory. The film was directed by Chris McKay. It starred Nicholas Hoult, Awkwafina, Nicolas Cage, Ben Schwartz, Shohreh Aghdashloo, and Brandon Scott Jones.

The tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision (or HDR10) form of high dynamic range and Dolby Atmos, DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround and 2.0 Stereo lossless sound. This release will come as a “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart included.

You can find the 4K UHD Blu-ray available for preorder at Amazon, at Walmart, or directly via the distributor’s website. Also, a 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook will be available on April 1st as an exclusive at Walmart. It is pictured below and is now available for preorder.

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 comes to 4K in April

The 2024 film “Sonic the Hedgehog 2” will be coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on April 15th. It will also be available on 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook (pictured above) in two variations. This release is via Paramount Home Media Distribution. The film is directed by Jeff Fowler. It features a live-action and voice cast. Some of the stars include Jim Carrey, Ben Schwartz, and Keanu Reeves. The cast also includes Idris Elba, Colleen O’Shaughnessey, and James Marsden. Additionally, there are Tika Sumpter, Krysten Ritter, and Adam Pally.

The tech specs for the 4K include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision (or HDR10) form of high dynamic range and Dolby Atmos sound. The releases will come as “combo pack” with the Blu-ray Disc counterpart included, along with a digital copy. NOTE: No individual Blu-ray Disc release will be available for this film.

UPDATED: The standard 4K UHD Blu-ray is now available for preorder at Amazon yet for preorder. The standard 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook is also now available for preorder at Amazon. It features “Sonic” artwork. Also, you can find the 4K UHD Blu-ray and 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook available for preorder at Walmart.

There will be an alternate 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook (pictured below) available for the film. It is an Amazon exclusive featuring the character “Shadow” on the art. This is now available for preorder at Amazon.

“Night School” with Kevin Hart is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray in January

The 2018 comedy “Night School” starring Kevin Hart and Tiffany Haddish is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on January 1st, 2019 via Universal. The film, directed by Malcolm D. Lee, co-stars Mary Lynn Rajskub, Keith David, Taran Killam, Megalyn Echikunwoke, Anne Winters, Romany Malco, Ben Schwartz, and Rob Riggle.

Tech specs for the 4K release include 2160p video in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 form of High Dynamic Range and DTS:X sound. Tech spec for the Blu-ray release include 1080p video in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio and DTS:X sound. The 4K and Blu-ray versions will both include both the “Extended Cut” and Theatrical Cut of the film. Each version will come in the form of “combo pack” with the 4K UHD Blu-ray getting a Blu-ray, the Blu-ray getting a DVD, with both getting a Digital Copy of the film included.
