Jurassic World Dominion on 4K and Blu-ray August

The 2022 sequel “Jurassic World: Dominion” is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on August 16th via Universal Studios Home Entertainment.  The film, directed by Colin Trevorrow, stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Laura Dern, Sam Neill, Jeff Goldblum, DeWanda Wise, Mamoudou Athie, BD Wong, and Isabella Sermon.

The tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.00:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 & Dolby Vision forms of high dynamic range and DTS:X immersive sound, on a BD-100 disc.  The tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 2.00:1 aspect ratio with DTS:X sound, on a BD-50 disc.  Both releases will come in the form of a “combo pack” with the 4K getting its Blu-ray counterpart, the Blu-ray getting its DVD counterpart, and each including a digital code (copy) of the film compatible with Movies Anywhere.

You can find both the standard 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray are now available for preorder over at Amazon.  It’s also worth noting that there will be a 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook release (pictured below) coming to all retailers which is also available for preorder.

Each release will include both the theatrical cut (147 minutes) and an extended version (160 minutes) of the film.  The bonus materials set to be included with the releases of this film are listed below.

It is also most certainly worth noting that there will be a Jurassic World: Ultimate Collection 6-movie set available on 4K UHD Blu-ray (pictured below) as well as on Blu-ray, which are both now available for preorder over at Amazon.  This set includes the six films: “Jurassic Park” (1993), “The Lost World: Jurassic Park” (1997), “Jurassic Park III” (2001), “Jurassic World” (2015), “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom” (2018), and “Jurassic World: Dominion” (2022).

1998 animated Mulan on 4K UHD Blu-ray November 10th

1998 Disney animated film “Mulan” is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on November 10th via Disney. Yes, that’s next week and comes with very little notice but that’s how Disney works. The film, directed by Tony BancroftBarry Cook, featured the voice talents of Ming-Na WenEddie MurphyBD Wong, Miguel Ferrer, Harvey Fierstein, James Hong, Pat Morita, George Takei, Freda Foh Shen, and Donny Osmond. The tech specs for the release include a 4K presentation in the 1.66:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 form of high dynamic range and Dolby Atmos sound. The 4K release will come in the form of a “combo pack” meaning that it will come with the Blu-ray Disc counterpart(s) as well as a digital code (copy) of the film. You cannot find the 4K UHD Blu-ray yet available for preorder over at Amazon, and you likely won’t anytime soon, but stay tuned for an update on that. In the meantime, realistically, you can find the 4K UHD Blu-ray available for preorder over at retailers Best Buy and Target. “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom” comes to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray September

Universal has officially announced plans to bring the film “Jurassic World:  Fallen Kingdom” to 4K UHD Blu-rayBlu-ray Disc and Blu-ray 3D on September 18th. This news comes this morning in an official announcement from the studio. Tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray include full 4K at 2160p in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with both Dolby Vision and HDR10 varieties of High Dynamic Range and DTS: X sound. The Blu-ray Disc and Blu-ray 3D releases tech specs include full HD at 1080p in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio and DTS: X sound as well. All three versions will be available in a “combo pack” and include a Digital Copy of the film. They all are now available for PRE-ORDER over at Amazon.
