The Bad Guys 2 on 4K and Blu-ray in October

The 2025 DreamWorks Animation sequel “The Bad Guys 2” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray on October 7th via Universal Studios Home Entertainment. The movie was co-directed by Pierre Perifel and JP Sans. This features the voice talents of Sam Rockwell, Marc Maron, Craig Robinson, Anthony Ramos, and Awkwafina. Its voice cast co-stars Zazie Beetz, Lily Singh, Alex Borstein, and Richard Ayoade. It’s worth mentioning that this film is “Certified Fresh” (based on critics) and “Verified Hot” (based on audience ratings) at Rotten Tomatoes.

The tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray include a 2160p video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and HDR10, accompanied by Dolby Atmos sound, on a BD-100 disc. Tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Atmos sound, on a BD-50 disc. The 4K release will come as a 2-disc “combo pack” with a Blu-ray Disc counterpart included. Both the 4K UHD and Blu-ray physical media releases will also feature a digital copy of the film compatible with Movies Anywhere.

The 2024 film Twisters on 4K and Blu-ray in October

The 2024 film “Twisters” is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on October 22nd via Universal Studios Home Entertainment. The film, a sequel to “Twister” (1996), directed by Lee Isaac Chung, stars Daisy Edgar-Jones, Glen Powell, Anthony Ramos, Brandon Perea, Maura Tierney, and Sasha Lane. It’s worth noting that this film is “Certified Fresh” on Rotten Tomatoes.

The tech specs for the 4K include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and hDR10 forms of high dynamic range and Dolby Atmos sound, on a BD-100 disc. Tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Atmos sound, on a BD-50 disc. The 4K releases will be a “combo pack” with its Blu-ray counterpart included. The 4K and Blu-ray releases will each include a digital copy compatible with Movies Anywhere. The 2021 film “In the Heights” is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on August 31st, via Warner Bros. Home Entertainment. The film, produced by and based on a musical by Lin-Manuel Miranda and directed by Jon M. Chu, stars Anthony Ramos, Corey Hawkins, Leslie Grace, Melissa Barrera, Olga Merediz, Daphne Rubin-Vega, Gregory Diaz IV, Stephanie Beatriz, Dascha Polanco, and Jimmy Smits. The film is “Certified Fresh” over at Rotten Tomatoes with a 95% rating, at the time of writing.

The 2018 Reinaldo Marcus Green written & directed film “Monsters and Men“ is coming to Blu-ray Disc on January 8th, 2019 via Universal, according to retailers. The film features a cast of John David Washington, Anthony Ramos, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Chanté Adams, and Rob Morgan. Critics seem to have really liked this film, as it is “Certified Fresh” over at Rotten Tomatoes. Tech specs for the release include 1080p video in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio and DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound. The Blu-ray is now available for pre-order over at Amazon.
