The 1991 film My Girl is coming to 4K in February

The 1991 film “My Girl“ will officially be released on 4K UHD Blu-ray on February 25th via Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. Howard Zieff directed the film, which starred Dan Aykroyd, Jamie Lee Curtis, Macaulay Culkin, and Anna Chlumsky.
The movie has received a new transfer scanned from the original camera negative with an HDR grade approved by cinematographer Paul Elliott. The tech specs for the 4K include a 2160p video presentation in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision (or HDR10) form of high dynamic range and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround or 2.0 surround sound. The release will include a digital copy of the film, compatible with Movies Anywhere.

Veep The Complete Series on Blu-ray in late October

“Veep: The Complete Series” is coming to Blu-ray Disc on October 22nd via Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment, according to retail sources. The show ran for 7 seasons and it starred Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Anna Chlumsky, Tony Hale, Reid Scott, Timothy Simons, Matt Walsh, Gary Cole, and Kevin Dunn. Tech specs for the release include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 1.78:1 aspect ratio and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 lossless surround sound. The Blu-ray set is available for preorder at Amazon and Walmart, as well as the online retailer GRUV. The set will include hours of bonus materials from the seasons previously released on Blu-ray.
Gold Diggers: The Secret of Bear Mountain gets a Blu-ray

The 1995 film “Gold Diggers: The Secret of Bear Mountain” is finally making its Blu-ray debut on March 9th, 2021, via Mill Creek Entertainment. This will be the first time this film has been available on the Blu-ray Disc format in any region, not just in North America. The film, directed by Kevin James Dobson, starred Christina Ricci, Anna Chlumsky, Polly Draper, Brian Kerwin, Diana Scarwid, David Keith, Gillian Barber, and Jewel Staite. The tech specs have not yet been detailed and no word yet if the release will include bonus materials. It is known, from the artwork pictured above, that this release will feature a retro VHS style slipcover case. You can find the Blu-ray now available to preorder over at Amazon.
