Masters of the Universe on 4K and Blu-ray in October

The 2026 film adaptation of “Masters of the Universe” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray on October 20th via Amazon MGM Studios, distributed by Alliance Home Entertainment. An exclusive limited-edition 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook (pictured above, middle) will also be available at Amazon.
The latest film, based on the Mattel toys, comics, and animated TV series, was directed by Travis Knight. It stars Nicholas Galitzine, Camila Mendes, Alison Brie, James Purefoy, Morena Baccarin, Johannes Haukur Johannesson, Kristen Wiig, Jared Leto, and Idris Elba.
The tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray include a 2160p video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and HDR10 forms of high dynamic range and Dolby Atmos sound. Tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio and Dolby Atmos sound. The 4K SteelBook will come as a 2-disc “combo pack” set, with a Blu-ray counterpart included, along with a comic book.
You can find the 4K UHD Blu-ray, exclusive 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook, and Blu-ray all available for preorder now at Amazon. It would appear, judging from the press release (included further below, after the break), that no bonus materials will be included on either the 4K or Blu-ray versions of the release.
