Masters of the Universe on 4K and Blu-ray in October

The 2026 film adaptation of “Masters of the Universe” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray on October 20th via Amazon MGM Studios, distributed by Alliance Home Entertainment. An exclusive limited-edition 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook (pictured above, middle) will also be available at Amazon.

The latest film, based on the Mattel toys, comics, and animated TV series, was directed by Travis Knight. It stars Nicholas Galitzine, Camila Mendes, Alison Brie, James Purefoy, Morena Baccarin, Johannes Haukur Johannesson, Kristen Wiig, Jared Leto, and Idris Elba.

The tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray include a 2160p video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and HDR10 forms of high dynamic range and Dolby Atmos sound. Tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio and Dolby Atmos sound. The 4K SteelBook will come as a 2-disc “combo pack” set, with a Blu-ray counterpart included, along with a comic book.

You can find the 4K UHD Blu-ray, exclusive 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook, and Blu-ray all available for preorder now at Amazon. It would appear, judging from the press release (included further below, after the break), that no bonus materials will be included on either the 4K or Blu-ray versions of the release. However, stay tuned for an update on that.

Wes Craven’s film Scream 4 is coming to 4K in June

The 2011 sequel “Scream 4” is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook on June 9th via Lionsgate.

Wes Craven directed this fourth film in the horror franchise, written by Kevin Williamson. It starred Neve Campbell, Courtney Cox, David Arquette, Kristen Bell, Emma Roberts, Alison Brie, Hayden Panettiere, Rory Culkin, Anthony Anderson, and Marley Shelton.

Tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray include a 2160p video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision (HDR10-compatible) high dynamic range and Dolby Atmos sound, on a BD-100 disc. Each release will come as a 2-disc “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart [in HD] included along with a digital copy.

Together comes to 4K and Blu-ray in November

The 2025 film “Together” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray on November 11th via Neon (distributed by Decal Releasing). Michael Shanks wrote and directed the movie. It stars Alison Brie and Dave Franco. It’s worth noting that this movie is “Certified Fresh” based on critics’ reviews at Rotten Tomatoes.

The tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray include a 2160p video presentation in a 1.85:1 aspect ratio, accompanied by HDR10 and lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround sound. The 2020 film “Promising Young Woman” starring Carey Mulligan is officially coming to Blu-ray Disc on March 16th via Universal Studios Home Entertainment. The film, written & directed by Emerald Fennell, co-stars Bo Burnham, Alison Brie, Adam Brody, Clancy Brown, Jennifer Coolidge, Sam Richardson, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Connie Britton, Laverne Cox, and Molly Shannon. This movie has been well-received by both critics and audiences and it is “Certified Fresh” over at Rotten Tomatoes — at the time of writing this. The tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 surround sound. You can now find the Blu-ray listed for preorder over at Amazon. Weathering With You 4K UHD Blu-ray November

The 2019 Japanese animated film “Weathering With You” will be receiving a 4K physical release in the “Deluxe Limited Collector’s Edition” Blu-ray Disc set on November 17th via Shout! Factory / GKIDS. As mentioned this set will notably include an exclusive 4K UHD Blu-ray Disc in the 4-disc set, as well as the Blu-ray Disc. Plus, there will be a Blu-ray bonus disc, the original CD soundtrack, a 104-page booklet, a mini-poster, and a decal sticker (pictured further below). The film, written & directed by Makoto Shinkai, features an English dub voice cast that includes Brandon Engman, Ashley Boettcher, Lee Pace, Alison Brie, and Riz Ahmed. This collector’s edition set will feature the same tech specs for the Blu-ray: a 1080p presentation in the 1.78:1 aspect ratio with both English & Japanese DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround sound mixes.
