Uncut Gems on 4K and Blu-ray via Criterion November

The 2019 Safdie Brothers film “Uncut Gems” is officially getting both 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc releases on November 23rd via The Criterion Collection. The film, co-directed & co-written by Benny Safdie and Josh Safdie, starred Adam Sandler, LaKeith Stanfield, Idina Menzel, Julia Fox, Eric Bogosian, Judd Hirsch, Kevin Garnett, and The Weeknd.

This has received a new 4K scan [transfer] that was approved by the filmmakers (Josh and Benny Safdie). The tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray release include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 and Dolby Vision forms of high dynamic range and Dolby Atmos sound. The tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio and Dolby Atmos sound. The 4K UHD Blu-ray set will come as a “combo pack” meaning that it will include its Blu-ray Disc counterpart. The 2005 remake of the film The Longest Yard starring Adam Sandler will be making its debut to the Blu-ray Disc format on September 21st via Paramount Home Entertainment. The film, directed by Peter Segal, co-starred Chris Rock, Nelly, Michael Irvin, Terry Crews, Tracy Morgan, Kevin Nash, Bill Goldberg, David Patrick Kelly, William Fichtner, and the late Burt Reynolds.

As mentioned, this will be the very first time this film has been available in Blu-ray format. The tech specs for the release include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 lossless surround sound. Uncut Gems with Adam Sandler on Blu-ray March

The 2019 film Uncut Gems starring Adam Sandler is coming to Blu-ray Disc on March 10th, via Lionsgate. The film, directed by the Safdie brothers (Benny SafdieJosh Safdie) co-stars LaKeith Stanfield, Idina Menzel, Julia Fox, Judd Hirsch, Eric Bogosian, The Weeknd, and Kevin Garnett. This film, during its theatrical run, received a lot of buzz from the critics but it didn’t receive any Academy Award nominations. However, at the time of writing, this carries a “Certified Fresh” rating over at Rotten Tomatoes. Tech specs for the Blu-ray include 1080p HD video in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 sound. The release will come as a “combo pack” with a DVD and a digital code (copy) of the film included. You can now find the Blu-ray available for preorder over at Amazon. “Hotel Transylvania 3” comes to both 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc in October

The 2018 CG animated sequel “Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation” is coming to both 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on October 9th via Sony, according to an early retailer alert. Both the 4K and Blu-ray releases will come in the form of a “Monster Party Edition” (as the artwork suggests). The releases will also come as a “combo pack” with the 4K getting a Blu-ray, Blu-ray getting a DVD and both getting a Digital Copy of the film included. Tech specs have not yet been detailed, and the only bonus materials we know about so far are the 2 Mini-Movies (mentioned on the art). Stay tuned for further updates once the studio (Sony) officially announces this title.
