American Underdog on 4K and Blu-ray in February

The 2021 film “American Underdog” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray on February 22nd via Lionsgate.  The biographical sports drama, based on the life of NFL quarterback Kurt Warner, was directed by Andrew Erwin & Jon Erwin and stars Zachary Levi, Anna Paquin, Dennis Quaid, Bruce McGill, and Adam Baldwin.

The tech specs for the 4K and Blu-ray release have not yet been fully detailed but stay tuned for an update.  There’s also no word yet regarding the bonus materials set to be included with the releases either.  It is known that both releases will come in the form of a “combo pack” with the 4K getting its Blu-ray counterpart, the Blu-ray getting its DVD counterpart and each receiving a digital code (copy) of the film.

1983 Joel Schumacher film D.C. Cab on Blu-ray December

The 1983 Joel Schumacher film “D.C. Cab“ is officially coming to Blu-ray Disc on December 1st via KL Studio Classics. The film, co-written & directed by the late Joel Schumacher, featured a cast of Max Gail, Adam Baldwin, Mr. T, Charlie Barnett, Gary Busey, Gloria Gifford, Marsha Warfield, Bill Maher, Otis Day, Paul Rodriguez, and Whitman Mayo. Tech specs for the release have yet to be detailed but you can for sure expect a 1080p HD presentation, likely in the original 1.85:1 aspect ratio and perhaps in an original 2.0 Stereo lossless audio mix. The Blu-ray is now available for preorder over at Amazon. The bonus materials set to be included on the release are listed below.

1987 film Full Metal Jacket on 4K in September

The 1987 film “Full Metal Jacket“ directed by Stanley Kubrick is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on September 22nd, via Warner. The film starred Matthew Modine, Vincent D’Onofrio, Adam Baldwin, Dorian Harewood, Kevyn Major Howard, Arliss Howard, Ed O’Ross, John Terry, Kieron Jecchinis, and the late R. Lee Ermey. Tech specs for the release (according to the back art) include a 2160p presentation in the 1.78:1 aspect ratio (presumably) with HDR10 form of High Dynamic Range and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 sound. It will be a “combo pack” meaning that it will include its Blu-ray Disc counterpart as well as a digital code (copy) of the film. You can find the 4K UHD Blu-ray release of the film listed as available for preorder over at Amazon. It’s totally worth mentioning that there will be an exclusive 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook available for the film over at retailer Best Buy (pictured below) which is now listed and should be a functional preorder listing soon.
