Scorsese film Bringing Out the Dead on 4K in September

The 1999 dramatic thriller “Bringing Out the Dead“ is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc (for the very first time) in a 2-disc set on September 17th via Paramount Presents (Paramount Home Entertainment). The film, directed by Martin Scorsese, starred Nicolas Cage, Patricia Arquette, John Goodman, Ving Rhames, Tom Sizemore, and Marc Anthony. The film has been “newly remastered from the original camera negative, this exceptional new release was reviewed by Scorsese, cinematographer Robert Richardson, and editor Thelma Schoonmaker.” It’s certainly worth noting that the film is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. The tech specs for the 4K include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and HDR10 forms of high dynamic range and Dolby Atmos sound. Tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio and Dolby TrueHD 5.1 lossless sound. The release will come as a “combo pack” with the Blu-ray Disc counterpart and include a digital copy.
